It's the allure of the pink elephants and the name Delirium for anyone that knows beer knows this is going to be great! One of my favorite breweries in the word and to stumble on this unexpectedly made my trip to Portugal complete.

This spot is a little tucked away as we just happened to see the pink elephant while walking down an perpendicular street. The sign was not visible from where we were passing below but the way the pink elephant is mounted on the side of the entrance makes it visible...if you know what the pink elephant represents.

When we walked in it was pretty empty so we quickly found a spot. There are some really cool terrace style seats that allow you to people watch while enjoying your drinks.

Everything Delirium is known for (and exported) was available on tap. We ordered several different beers and some food but honestly after drinking their beers I cannot remember what food we bought:). The servers were great and supper quick to seat us and bring our orders.

Delirium Nocturnum is by far my favorite but...

Avoid this bar, let the staff enjoy their great beer selection alone!

Been twice, that's enough!! They have an extensive list of beers, which, NO, you can’t sample and pushy servers who don’t even bother to make recommendations? They want you to use a confusing online menu and when you look at the board posted above the bar to pick a beer, staff keep telling you to move out of the way. Perhaps, you could put the board where customers could read it then?

On my second visit, I knew better than to order food because last time the fish & chips was overpriced and barely edible—a slimy, salty mess. On the second visit, I paid for a beer with a credit card and before I could reject the conversion, the server pressed the accept button for me. He then rudely told that’s how it’s done—I’m the one paying, buddy, and I don’t need a 5% markup on a conversion added to my bill. That killed any chance of a second beer for the evening. And, I'm never...

I always enjoy the Delirium cafes. It's a nice place to grab a drink and get some food before starting your night out. I got the old stand by Tremins and my better half got the dark Tremins. We also got garlic fries to share and they were delicious!

The staff is young, but are super professional and very attentive. They were really great. The bar is located on the first floor and I believe there are only stairs to get up there, so if you have a hard to walking or need other accomodations, it might not be possible.

The atmosphere was great and they played 90/00s alt rock which bright me back to my angsty youth. The music was at a reasonable level, allowing for conversation.

Bathrooms are clean too, wife said women's room is very clean!

Check it out the place, you won't be disappointed with their food and great...

I found this place on recommendation from my travel company. It was just the right place to spend a hot Monday afternoon after a long day of travel. I chose a quaint short table with two stools in window, open to the street. The menu was easily available in Portuguese and English by scanning a QRC on the table. I ordered a Delirium Tremens, a golden pale ale, claimed to have been elected as the best beer in the world. With easily an inch and a half head, the beer was indeed tasty. I chose the Delirium Portuguese Clams, a new menu, of steamed clams with ample garlic and focaccia. The clams were fabulous! Paying was as easy as scanning the QRC again. Having said that, service was still fabulous and my server checked on me several times without being overbearing. The music was fantastic, without being so loud you couldn’t relax.

Considering the amount to beers they advertise on the board, there's not a great choice as several were out of stock. Initial service was fine, however this was the best we got. When we came to pay, stood at the bar waiting one of the 2 staff to come and take payment, the guy kept looking over and ignored us, the girl with her back to us playing in the till. When the guy finally decided to stop, what was obviously more important than taking our payment, and saunter over towards us, ignored us again, and spoke to another guest who had just come to the bar to pay. Save your money and go elsewhere. Terrible. Great seat overlooking the street which got it an extra star from what it really deserved.
