Frangaria Zé da Mouraria — Restaurant in Lisbon

We went to this place today after our workout as it was very close to us. We waited for 5 minutes and all the waiters were passing in front of us and was ignoring us eventhough we tried to talk to them more than once. After 5 mins of walking by us while waiting, one of the waiters answered us and he was very rude, he waved with his hand when we asked him where we can sit and in the utmost disrespect, he waved with his hand again as if hes talking to animals. We went outside and told him that he needs to speak with us with respect but he kept ignoring us. On top of that the smell and the restaurant itself was so dirty, people working without any sanitary conditions, no gloves and no hairnet while working with the food. The place is as disgusting as the people working in it. That explains the average rating it has. It deserves a star because owning a restaurant is about hospitality and respect. Really sad to see local portuguese restaurants acting and behaving this way! I don’t speak Portuguese well, so I placed my order in English and indicated in the menu. I order the half chicken with rice and fries for 9 euros. When my order came, I saw a small leg, a tiny wing,and two pieces of chopped upper backbones. There was no thigh or the half breast. He charged for the price of the half chicken. The fries and chicken were extremely salty, and to make matters worse, the chicken was super dry. The sauce didn’t help at all. It was so salty that my girlfriend and I couldn’t eat it and ended up having to get something else. I ordered takeaway, but if I had been dining in, I would have asked for the manager.
