Green Burger — Restaurant in Lisbon

Our last night in Lisbon we decided to try this restaurant because it was steps away from our Hotel. We ate outside in their cozy street side canopy equppied with a fireplace. The waiter was friendly and explained the items on the menu. I had a starter of cod cakes which were very good. We both ordered Burgers. I had the Brie, my husband had the classic. We also ordered the house wine which was lovely. The Burgers were A+. While in Lisbon we had an expensive steak dinner, Indian food, and a Traditional Portuguese dinner. Ordered the “smash burger” which consisted of 2 patties of beef and came with grilled onions. While the burger was tasty, it was certainly not a smash type of patty-they were typical style patties. Fries were good. Asked for ketchup and this was an extra charge which is ridiculous. The worst part is, that is was the worst ketchup I’ve ever had. How do you mess up ketchup 🤦🏽. Service was spot on and very friendly. I took 1 star off for adding a mandatory tip for two and this is just wrong! Regardless I would of added a tip, but don’t force me into one. Sometimes tourist days get unpredictable - and you don't know when you will get a chance to have a lunch. And when you are looking for reastaurant at 16:00, when most places are closed, an enjoyable meal can become a quest. On one such day in Lisbon, I was happy to discover Green Burger - and ended up having the best late lunch during my entire trip to Portugal.
