My wife and I recently visited this cafe, and while there were some positives, our experience was ultimately disappointing.

The atmosphere was pleasant, and I enjoyed a lovely hot lavender tea. Initially, our server was friendly and attentive, which set a good tone for our meal. However, when my wife’s breakfast dish arrived, it didn’t match the menu description. The item claimed to have sausage, but what she received looked more like an uncooked hot dog, which was confusing given the restaurant’s American city theme.

When we brought this up, our server was understanding and quickly arranged for a replacement, which we appreciated. However, the situation took a turn at the time of payment. The owner interrupted, questioning why we had sent the dish back. This felt inappropriate and unnecessary. I tried to explain our confusion, especially considering the cafe’s focus on American cuisine, but he insisted on discussing sausage variations in different countries. He followed up by defending his wording of the menu item. I cannot say this is the Brooklyn kindness I ever received in the actual Brooklyn. His response came off as condescending and dismissive.

While we appreciated the initial service and the replacement dish, the owner’s handling of our feedback overshadowed the positives. It was an unfortunate experience, and I can’t see...

Based on the reviews we were excited to go there, however it didn’t turn out as good as we hoped. At the beginning to order it took more time than we expected. We ordered whole breakfast menus, 20 minutes ran by when other people that came later were being given their food, and we didn’t recieve our drinks yet. So we asked them to bring them in advance of the food. So they did, however one of the waitresses was very angry when she basically slammed the cup in front of us, which we considered extremely rude. Then they eventually brang the mains. The food was decent, there could have been bigger portions, regarding the prices I think it was a bit overpriced. I ordered something with smoked salmon, however they didn’t deliver it, which I was told about when they were bringing in the main course, they gave me bacon instead, which I was ok with, but I would expect that they would tell me when I was ordering. In general it lacked logistics and to be fair the food wasn’t bad. But still when visiting Lisbon, I would search...

Imagine this! You wake up in a hotel in Lisbon, no breakfast included because you know you'll find something way cooler out on the streets. So, you dash out! Just 30 meters away from your hotel, right next to a beautiful park, you spot a sign: "Brooklyn". The place is buzzing with energy, killer tunes flowing from the speakers, the staff are glowing, and oh boy, freshly baked bread and steaming pastéis de nata! You step inside, see photos of famous artists on the walls, the clinking of porcelain fills the air, and a lively mix of Portuguese, English, and French chatter. You order and sip on the most amazing espresso and cappuccino, while savoring the most divine poached eggs. Day one is a smashing success! And guess what? You get to relive this experience for five more mornings. The hospitality, genuine attention, radiant smiles, and loving team just keep blowing you away. Thank you...

SPOILER ALERT: This is going to be a great meal! TLDR: Don't hesitate and go. Came in today to have something for breakfast/lunch. This place didn't disappoint. The "bolo do dĂa" đŸ„§ or cake of the day was a Masterclass in how a chocolate cake should be, simply delicious! Make sure to try the hot chocolate because that one is also something that is remarkable, very rich and thick chocolate ☕ (see the video I made in slow-mo!) that leaves you wanting more. We had the poached eggs over toast w/avocado, really good and it comes with a salad that is drizzled with a very nice balsamic vinaigrette đŸ‘ŒđŸœ The table next to mine ordered a burger 🍔 and judging by how quickly this guy was done with it I can tell you I now want to come for one tomorrow. The vibe is super relaxed and staff are really friendly, it all makes you feel welcome.

Hipster brunch spot in a quiet neighborhood. Good food with great prices and good service. Two of us went and we ordered the bifana (€5 pork steak sandwich with BBQ sauce, fresh salad, and potato chips), and the "comfort special" for €5 which included hot milk coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, one over easy egg, fresh fruit (banana, kiwi, honeydew melon) and a ham and cheese sandwich. We were stuffed and food was delicious! The owner was kind and attentive. Food came out promptly and was made to order. The owner even gave us tips about Lisbon. It's a really cute spot with strong attention to detail. We'll definitely be back! Also: they do take credit cards!

Brooklyn Café Resto is a great little spot right near Jardim da Estrela in Lisbon. It has a strong New York-style vibe, from the decor to the menu, and makes for a perfect stop if you're exploring the area. We tried the cortado and cappuccino, both of which were excellent, smooth and well balanced. They also offer fresh fruit, juices, and warm croissants that were perfect for a light and satisfying breakfast. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a view of the park just steps away. If you're in the area and looking for quality coffee and a chill vibe, Brooklyn Café is definitely worth a visit.
