Lisbon Apartments Charm Flats | Accommodations in city Center — Hotel in Lisbon

This is a disaster - do not book this apartment hotel. There is no service, either before, during or after our stay.

CharmFlats stated that they would contact us prior to check-in with an access code to enter the apartment. However, the property did not provide the access code, so I was unable to gain entry. While I was on a flight landing at 11:30 PM, I had to ask a friend in Lisbon to call around in an attempt to contact them and get into the apartment complex. They claimed their digital system was down and neither did not return my calls. If I hadn't had friends in Lisbon doing detective work, I would have been stranded outside that night.

We had booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms (2 double beds) and a sofa bed, but we only received an apartment with 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed. Several members of our group had to find accommodation at another hotel in the middle if the night.

The reception was completely closed during our 3.5-day stay. They also did not answer calls or messages via WhatsApp, which was their chosen method of communication. We couldn't even check out! Only after we returned to Sweden did they respond, claiming they couldn't assist us and refusing to compensate for the inconvenience of the non-existent check-in process or the fact that we were assigned a too-small apartment.

Now, when I visit their booking page and try to make a future reservation to compare room sizes, I see that they assigned us a smaller apartment than what I originally booked and paid for.

Bad cleanliness and air: The apartment only had AC in the main room, so the bedroom had stuffy air. There were insects (cochroaches?) crawling out of the shower drain at night.

Overall, our stay was pleasant but we visited Lisbon in the middle of extreme heat emergency so alot of what I write is based within this context. We chose terrace rooms so it was 5 flights of stairs our our suitcases in the heat (no AC). Our rooms had extremely low ceilings and we hit our heads a couple of times. The AC in the room wasn’t completely functional. The location of charm flats is walking distance from the shopping district for luxury brands: Gucci, YSL, LV etc. We were able to walk to alot of major sites and attractions so location was ideal. The apartment was ok but the electronic keypad died and we were unable to get into our apartment after going out to dinner. We called their contact numbers and they did not respond and we were forced to pay for another hotel and stay somewhere else with our stuff locked inside. They were very rude and unhelpful when we contacted them and got back in the next day. Terrible customer service and unsafe...
