Guilty by Olivier, Avenida — Restaurant in Lisbon

Let's start with... I never had such a bad birthday celebration in one place. I decided to celebrate my birthday at guilty, and I wish I knew how bad a that would be.

I arrived at the restaurant and I was waiting for around 5 minutes to my friends to arrive, in those minutes, the service staff went to my table like, 8 times to ask what I wanted to drink, I explained I was waiting my friend, and they get mad, they even told me I have limited time to stay there - again, on my BIRTHDAY.

My friends arrived, we ordered a sangria, 2 liters, I don't know what was wrong with one guy from staff, but he treated us extremely bad, and at the end he said : “still didn't decided the food ?” with a ironic and rude speech.

After that, 5 minutes after, he saw us having minimal fun and he just took a empty glass of bear on my table and looked at me like he was very mad - he didn't even apologise.

At this stage, I was already so shocked that I didn't even wanted to stay there anymore - but I was waiting for my food.

The food - never had such a bad hamburger, but this is the minimal topic from this night.

At end, my friends brought a cake for me, and we were eating, the waitress brought the bill - note - WE DIDNT ASKED FOR IT YET!!!! ( this suppose to be the most horrible treatment you can give to your clients)

Ok, we couldn't believe it, but it could be worst. After 2 minutes, she come back and asked “can you pay now?” and I told her - can you please wait for us to finish the cake? We still have 30 minutes from my booking.

Again, she was mad. I wanted to run from this place, and for sure - I will NEVER come back. This was from far, my worst experience in a restaurant. Avoid this place, I will be sure to inform people to literally stay...

TLDR; not considerate of allergies (served wrong dish with bacon when we said we don’t eat meat), not great food and bad service

I came here with my family while traveling in Lisbon. First of all, we stopped by half an hour before we wanted to eat dinner as this restaurant was near our hotel to see if we needed a reservation and the hostess said no. Then when we returned half an hour later we were told we needed a reservation. After asking about the conflicting responses (and being met with rude responses) they put us at a table. We ordered pasta and pizza - my family does not eat meat and we made that clear to our waiter. We told him that the dishes needed to be without meat and he reassured us that they were. We got our food and the pastas were tortellini instead of ravioli like we ordered, but our waiter reassured us there was no meat. While eating we noticed there were brown pieces and asked if it was bacon. Our waiter said it wasn’t and when we asked him to double check, he came back and said it was. The manager apologized but they did not take the clearly communicated good allergy seriously and the damage was already done. We did not pay for the dish and the rest of the food was fine, but would not recommend based off of the borderline rude service and lack of attention to allergies. Awful service! We came here as a group of 7 people to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday and also I was inviting my friends to be my bridesmaids. Considering the amount of famous people come here we thought it was going to be good… little did we know. The service was awful, they took ages to bring our first round of drinks, then we had to ask 3 different people to bring us drinks. They also took our starters before we even finished eating (and some of the plates still had food on them as we were not done). The manager was literally telling one of the employees off in front of us which was terrible from a management perspective. For the prices you pay the service and food were all terrible!!! The restaurant was fairly empty and they were all very slow. In the end they still wanted us to pay most of the starters (that we did not eat cause they took them away) we complained so we only paid what we have eaten for and drinks were also on the house. Unfortunately, this is the bare minimum restaurants do and we could still hear the staff talking about the situation quite rudely amongst themselves. Do not recommend this place and will...
