"Leitaria Baiana is the epitome of a traditional family restaurant. Upon entering, I felt immediately welcomed by the lively and playful waiter who engaged with everyone in my family, making jokes and teasing my children in a positive manner. This experience was special to me, as the Portuguese waiter reminded me of my grandfather and his relatives, who were all Portuguese. It felt like being embraced by my own Portuguese family roots. The food was exceptional – I savored a delightful Bifana sandwich, while the kids enjoyed Tostados Misto, and my wife relished a Chicken Empadão. The cafe surpassed expectations; I ordered an Americano, which turned out more like a double espresso, but the flavor was simply incredible. The overall dining experience was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. We visited on a Saturday and, unfortunately, they were closed on Sunday; otherwise, we would have returned. A cost-effective and delightful option. Right across the street, there was a tuk-tuk driver, so after our breakfast, we embarked on a tuk-tuk tour of the city. I highly recommend Leitaria Baiana, a five out of five, for its warm hospitality, excellent service, delicious food, and the sense of belonging it offers. A must-stop for anyone...
Read moreHave used this place on several occasions when in Lisbon and always find the service very friendly and helpful. Wheelchair friendly. Menu choice is great and prices for Lisbon are very reasonable. Seating is limited but always seems busy with locals who are also friendly and courteous. On street seating when weather permits. English is spoken and the service has always been quick and efficient.. A great place for just a coffee or a light lunch with lots of local Portuguese cuisine available. Lots of highly priced tourist traps around but this place is in a different class and only a short walk from the city centre. Well...

The waiters were very efficient and friendly despite the crowds and the kitchen did an amazing job of churning out the dishes...
