We had a lovely stay at Hotel Alegria. The hotel looks great, classic and luxurious. The room was spacious, shower was great. Perfectly dark at night, not too much noise from outside. The airconditioning was very welcome since it was 28-29 degrees the weekend we visited. The beds are rather hard, but I prefer that over too soft. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We called upon the reception staff to call a taxi multiple times, they were very quick to do so. Always with a smile. The breakfast staff was really nice and always ready to answer any questions or to handle any special requests. The breakfast is nice, many options. Plant milk was available, I would’ve loved to have some plant yoghurt too but that wasn’t the case. There’s fresh fruits, eggs - bacon - sausages, pastries, very tasty sourdough bread, pancakes, many toppings, fresh orange juice etc. Breakfast is served in a few adjoining rooms, it wasn’t too crowded, which made for a relaxed start of the day. The hotel is located near a metro station from which you can easily reach the city center. The mine also connects with other lines. There’s also a bus stop at which a lot of buses stop, in the direction of the center or the airport. We also often went by foot since the hotel is located close to the area where a lot of bars and restaurants are located. We mostly went by foot when the direction was downhill. We also went uphill a few times, but that can be...
Read moreWe stayed at Hotel Alegria during our very first trip to Lisbon this past August, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. After spending months searching for the right accommodation, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the cleaning service was excellent throughout our stay. We booked the Master Suite Park View, and it was absolutely lovely—spacious, with a beautiful bathroom, plenty of vanity space for all my makeup and hair products, and great mirrors (a big plus!).
Breakfast was another highlight. Each morning, the hotel prepared the most charming buffet, almost like a little charcuterie spread, with fresh fruits, pastries, yogurts, eggs, and more. Everything was delicious, and the breakfast staff were just as attentive and kind as the rest of the team.
The location was also ideal—we could walk to everywhere we wanted to go, from restaurants where we had made reservations to local street markets and attractions.
Overall, our stay at Hotel Alegria was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again on future trips to Lisbon and would highly recommend it to family...
Read moreUpon arriving, my driver from the airport said this hotel was in a great location-- central to everything and she was right! I arrived a bit early, and no rooms were immediately available for check in, thankfully Jose was able to hold my luggage and I was free to explore the city before checking in. The hotel is tucked away, right across the street is a cute little park with a cafe( which would be a fav hangout spot of mine while in town) which is open late. The hotel is perfectly located- walking distance to a lot of great sites, shopping, and restaurants, and not too far from public transit for things that aren't that close. Lobby and dining room were very clean/ nice. Room was the perfect size, the chandelier was a nice touch. Bed was big and comfy. The shower was really nice- just a little slippery so be careful. Only cons is the walls were thin (but it is Europe so) At night I could hear the loud closing of everyones doors. I was on the 1st floor and my upstairs neighbors apparently liked to stomp around in the middle of the night. Overall amazing experience. Room was cleaned every day. Staff were very nice. I would stay here again and recommend for anyone going to Lisbon. A beautiful,...
