Overpriced and overrated. Unfortunately this hotel did not live up to expectations. Way too pricy for what you get. The three star quality was nowhere to be seen. The room was unclean and old. Not representative of what you could see in the photos. We found remains from the previous costumers. The room and especially the bathroom need some serious renovation. There were splinters sticking out of the door frames, right where your toes should be. The room was too warm and the AC made a lot of noise, but cooled nothing down. This was in December btw, I can’t imagine how can you survive during summer. If you open the windows you will hear street noise and sirens constantly. The receptionists said to ask if we needed anything at all, so we asked for hair conditioner. They did not provide any or suggested any alternatives. Breakfast was fine but the salad at breakfast was moldy. The staff were nice and we had a lovely trip but the hotel was a complete disappointment.

Booked single room, got standard room #110, ground floor, that has a window in interior court in front of évacuation tube. Smell, no fresh air in the room, noise of machinery. Cannot open window. As asthmatic, compleatly not possible to stay without medicamentation. And they say that I got a better room than I booked! I booked single room, but got "upgraded", what was an nightmare. Réceptionist told me that it's not nice to ask something better what they have done to me, means what i booked - instead of single, i got standard., and as a asthmatic, it was not easy to live in this conditions. Finally for the second night I got my booked single room, but i was told that my attitude is not apropriated. "Client should not to come here for asking some changments," told recepetionist to me.

Very well located hotel. Nice, clean, comfortable rooms with cozy bathrooms. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Air-condition for heating or cooling. Breakfast is very good, plenty of food to choose from. I loved the fruits and pastries. Very good coffee. Portuguese "milk-bread" was the loveliest surprise for me. It was so tasty, soft, and sweet. I could get used to it. :) Helpful and knowledgeable front desk and staff. They even surprised me with a bottle of wine and a greeting card for my birthday. It made my day. They can help you with booking guided tours. I will be back, for sure, for a longer period this time. Until then, I will continue to recommend this place with all my heart.

Location of this hotel is ideal for access the transportation, shops and restaurants. |On arrival, a staff member took our luggage’s from the vehicle and when our room was ready they took them to the room, (this service does not happened at most hotels anymore). The hotel rooms were clean and the breakfast staff were very pleasant. Miguel and Ana, were very helpful (Ana recommended and made reservation at a restaurant for my Birthday dinner, and Miguel helped with our luggages, check in and confirming our pickup service from the hotel back to the Airport. Ana also helped to book us two tours. They said they only take cash for the tours, but if you book directly at the tour office, where you have meet the tour buses they do take credit cards. We were also presented with bottles of their Porto wines on our birthdays. |Normally, I would not spend 8 nights at the same hotel and our time here convinced us never to do that again. Some days our room was only half cleaned ( as if they started and forgot to finish). Our room was on the 2nd floor directly over a very active mini park and at the intersection of 3 or 4 different streets. The park came alive throughout the night until sometimes 6:30am or later. The utility room was next to our so forget sleeping. We asked to be moved to a higher floor and were told that it will not make a|difference. A Fire station is adjoining the hotel, thank God their alarm were not triggered, but you could hear the ins and outs of the trucks |and other activities...

We had a double room on 6th floor, lovely clean room, great bathroom with the best shower I've had in any hotel. Ample wardrobe space to hang clothes, lots of drawers in long unit. There was a kettle and coffee making machine, few sachets of different tea, breakfast, green and camomile. Only few little biscuits provided on first day, these were unfortunately not replenished. The only criticism is that there was no mirror to do hair and make-up or to use straighteners. I had to heat them up on only plug provided by kettle, unplug them and take them to where the mirrored wardrobe was, not ideal. The metro was only few minutes walk and only 2 stops to main town where all the shops and restaurants were. We walked the first evening, quite a walk, approximately 20 or 25 minutes. We noticed a lot of German nationalities at breakfast, we were the only English. Breakfast was lovely, good choice of everything, cereal, lovely fresh cut fruit, kiwi, melon and pineapple to have with natural yoghurt. Scrambled egg, sausage, bacon, lovely seeded bread, all delicious! Reception staff were very helpful and informative on hiw to get places etc . Once back at hotel in evening, no bar or any other bars or restaurants near to hotel which was very disappointing. Overall though I would recommended this hotel for a short stay, we were...

We had booked 2 nights in the Dom Carlos Park, as we were seeing a concert on the 2nd evening there which finished late.|We checked into the hotel around 6.50pm on the Saturday evening and the staff were pleasant, friendly and welcoming. It was easy to find the room, and everything was very clean inside.|The room was fairly small for 2 people, but it had all the necessities for a few night's stay. Considering it was so centrally located, there was not any road noise/disturbance from outside, with minimal construction work. The metro station is just a 2 minute walk away and it is easy to reach different areas of Lisbon.|Inside the room, there was a safe, cupboard and fridge which contained drinks (for a slight extra charge).|I think the highlight of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. There was a really great selection of food (cooked/continental of Portuguese style) and it was open for a considerable time (up to 11.30am) - plenty of variety and a good ambience.|Moreover, the reception staff safely stored our bags on the final day after checking out to collect later in the day - and were helpful in showing us where the toilets were located.|I'd recommend Dom Carlos Park to anyone staying in Lisbon for...
