If I could give this restaurant 6 stars, I would!!! They deserve it because the food here is phenomenal! We stayed at a hotel nearby, and after a long day in the city center of Lisbon, we decided to dine here to go back to our hotel room as fast as we'd want to. The restaurant was large, the decoration was nothing fancy, the menu was purely in Portugese BUT the waiters could speak English very well and understood us perfectly. One of them was very kind and paid great attention to details - as soon as our eyes looked past him, not even at him, he took it as eye contact and was ready on his feet to come to assist us. No matter what dishes we ordered (we were there for two dinners), they tasted so good. What would stay in my long-term memory is the large aluminium pot of fish soup with potatoes (for ~16€). There were four types of fish in the pot together with a lot of potatoes. The fish portion was abundant and all four types of fish were utterly delicious. I live 10000km away from home and traveled to Lisbon for just a few days and found my mom's fish soup right there!!! I had not found fish soup that was close to my mom's but the cook(s) here did it. I almost cried. We looked around and only saw local people dining here, and to us that was a very good sign. So, if you stay nearby and want to taste the best Portugese dishes, don't miss this little restaurant on a quiet...

The first meal that graced our table was shrimps with garlic, a dish that resonated with authenticity and was truly delicious, capturing the essence of Portuguese cuisine. The evening's highlight was the monkfish broth with rice and shrimp, a dish I had the pleasure of trying for the first time, and it was exceptional. The attentive service we received throughout only enhanced the culinary delights of the evening. Restaurant Raposo has mastered the art of fine dining, with every dish reflecting their...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience at Restaurante O Raposo. The food is truly authentic Portuguese — made with heart, soul, and tradition. You can feel the care in every bite. Special thanks to Rui, the chef’s son, for his attentive and genuine service. It’s rare to find a place where both the hospitality and the flavors feel this real. I strongly recommend all travellers to stop by and experience this gem for themselves.
Add on, try their creme brulee dessert which is superb too.
Pretty sure this restaurant will go strong, as i was recommended by a local who strongly suggest us to try. We have no regret to come seriously. ❤️
Last but not least, thank you Rui for my...
