If you want to live an entire portuguese night in Lisbon you can't miss this place. Portuguese people definitely know how to enjoy life and how to eat. Pateo 13 is probably the best restaurant I went to in Lisbon ! A typical portuguese place with a terrace and musicians playing blues and fado. The menu offers you local specialities such as fish soup or cabbage soup, grilled fish and a massive piece of grilled meat. Yum ! There are also a large panel of wines (white, red, rosé and green) for nothing. I suggest the green wine which is a bit dry, floral and not too strong. Typical of Portugal ! The place in itself is a small paradise because you're in the middle of Alfama in a tiny street. At last, the service was really kind, trying to share portuguese culture and cuisine with you. I would go back to Lisbon to eat one more time in Patéo 13 ! THE thing not to miss: The 'doce a 13', the home dessert ! It's better to reserve or to come early because after 9, the...

This restaurant should be a MUST go for everyone visiting Lisbon! It is tucked away in Alfama and is so lovely. I was able to walk in for an early dinner and was greeted warmly. I asked my server what her favorite fish dish was and she pointed out the sea breem so I ordered that based on her suggestion. It did not disappoint. Perfectly grilled and seasoned-the fish fell off the bone and was the taste was incredible. I tried rice pudding for the first time ever based on the recommendation of another server (and the tables behind me and next to me) and I truly enjoyed it. I would have expected to pay between €25-30 for the fish ALONE-it still would have been worth the price-but my entire bill for wine, an entree, and dessert was €18! All in all a great experience. I will be in Lisbon for a few weeks and I will definitely...

Where to start, first No reservations available even tho on google they put that u can reserve on facebook! Second the wait is minimum of 30-40mins to get a table and we were just 2 for diner! Third when we were ordering they didn’t recommend us anything and didn’t tell us that the sepia will take 1hour to be barbecued !! We waited 1hour between the salad which is not the best, and the fish. After telling them multiple times that we are still waiting they finally brought them we ate and left ! They just removed the price of the salad for the wait which is nothing just 4euros …. The medication from the food poisoning was for sure more and our trip was ruined since we had to stay in the airbnb for 2 days after their bad service and...

Great spot in the heart of Alfama — definitely worth a visit if you love grilled food! Everything is cooked over coals right outside, so you get to watch (and smell) your meal being made, which adds to the charm. The smoky air and the outdoor seating under trees and umbrellas make for a really enjoyable atmosphere. The food itself is simple but super tasty — sometimes that's all you need. Only downside was the service, which felt a bit disorganized, and it's cash only, so be prepared. Also, I’d skip the bread and olives — not on the same level as the rest of the food. Overall, a strong 4.5 in my book. Would definitely go back for the grilled meats and that unique vibe.

Simple fresh ingredients very well prepared - the fish is grilled outside on a fire right alongside the tables. We stumbled into this place on a Sunday evening after exploring the Alfama area. It had a really nice intimate vibe and felt like mostly locals. We ordered the whole fish dorado and the cuttle fish. The dorado was really exceptional. Two mains, a salad, bread and a bottle of wine only set us back 34€- an amazing price for such exceptional quality and a fraction of what you would pay at some of the restaurants closer to the main part of town.
