Alfama Grill — Restaurant in Lisbon

Carefull: One star is way to much! Please don't go there!!! Near by are great ones, but this just a joke!

The comments here are absolutely correct, wish I'd seen them earlier. Went there because it "looked" quite nice...how looks can deceive you.

Terrible service and very very unfriendly: Came in, got a table...waited 30min before anybody came to ask about drinks or food. Instead the staff itself (all of them at the same time) had a dinner without caring about the customer. New requests were more or less completely ignored. After ordering we not only waiting like another 30min for even the drinks, we even had to ask for them 3 more times and then they forgot half of them. Same with the food. The food of my girlfriend came like 15min after they brought mine, so I basically ate a cold meal.

The Food: They have pictures in the menu to help you choose, which is a good thing with all the different ways the same food is prepared at all the different restaurants...but the actual food looked nothing like it and was completely different than depicted, even ingredients changed. Sausage was hard as hell and dry, I had better dates in ham from the supermarket, a glass of wine for 13€... The main dish itself looked like garbage, fries were drowning in oil/fat/I dont know what, totally wobbly... No use of spices at all...everything tasted like water...

Fado singers were blocking the entrance and I wasn't allowed to use the toilet, they send me away!!!

Had to ask for the bill 3 times, they brought it the moment we stood up to just leave.

We were not alone in this, this evening I overheard at least 3 other couples/groups taking about it the same way...

Avoid this place...

I put 5 star for the service of waitress Senhora Augusta which gives to the client good service of her best. 1 star for the restaurant and food quality and their cheating for tourist people. The time we ask bill ,instead of bill they wrote on paper everything . As a person I live in PT so long time I can see the way they are trying to avoid to pay taxes to the government from what they are earning. Usually on the bill taxpayers can ask Fatura which with number of taxpayers but here is impossible on the paper lol. And when u ask to pay by card they even don't let you use card machine which shows its scammers,and they will show you nearest Euronet ATM which charger 2-3€extra for withdraw money . I been agreed to pay whatever the game they were playing bcz of respectful visitors if I'm alone or with another person I would never be agreed how they want. As a person I have been worked/experienced I would called police or give a call to social seguranca for thier illegal works. They just wanna rip of...

Worst experience from a service perspective and the food wasn't the best either. We were a table of six and out order came out after 1 hour and 30 minutes, plate by plate, 15 minutes apart... We were the second table to sit down and by the time our food even started coming out, some of the others had theirs already, even if they were also 6.... What was the worst part, at the end, we waited for the bill for half an hour, only to discover prices were made up by the owner. For example, we wanted just eggs - 9 euros for that. On the menu, the price was 10 euros for eggs and sausages. After the long wait and unfair prices, we spoke with the owner and he basically sat there making up the food prices for what wasn't 'a la carte'. Bottom line, food wasn't no where near as nice as other places we've tried before. Long wait for the food and rude owner. Also expect unfair,...
