Pippo — Restaurant in Lisbon

I have to agree with the other reviews. I wish i could give 6 stars. A bit of a late dinner for us, but we we're craving pizza, and this place was at the bottom of the hill from where we were staying, We were able to walk in and be seated.

We thought, "we're not that hungry, we will just get a glass of wine and one pizza to share."

The woman who helped us was incredibly sweet, and enjoyed describing the wines to us. The pizza came out fast, even though the place was busy. We got the Porchetta & Pickle pizza, and we must have ate it as quick as it came out, because we forgot to take photos. I am seriously impressed with the crust. So chewy, the structure is amazing. Even though we we're satiated, we ordered a second pizza. The Carbonara pizza, which was even better than the first, if that is possible. Did i mention the dough?

Also, I had a view of the pizza oven, and I watched the chef make the pizza. You can tell when there is passion in cooking, and this Chef really did care about dressing every pizza before it came out.

I highly recommend Pippo based on the service alone, but let's be real, the pizza is amazing and i want that...

I wish i could give more stars for service! If you’re ever in Lisbon you HAVE to visit Pippo - it will make your stay 100% better. This place is filled with passion and love for food and wine. Waiters are just wonderful, we’ve never felt more welcomed and taken care of - like a family you didn’t knew you had. Wines were delightful and the food… oh my god I will dream about their Tuna Crudo long after coming home. I had to order two on our last day so I could eat one fast and savour the other. We never had better meatballs than here ;) calzone and pizza were also so good I wish I lived there just to visit them every open day. I can also recommend Arancino with swordfish - even my partner who doesn’t eat fish loved it so you know it’s gotta be something! We’re gonna recommend this restaurant to everyone we meet and we’re definitely coming back just because of them. Thank you guys again for all the love and wonderful...

Today, we discovered an incredible spot in our neighborhood — Pippo.

We had been watching it open and admiring their vintage furniture, and finally decided to check it out.

And let me tell you, it was love at first sight! A cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and an amazing selection of natural wines that perfectly complement their delicious dishes.

The pizza was absolutely fantastic, and the desserts were beyond amazing! Some of our favorites were the Tuna crudo with tomato and habanero, Carbonara with smoked provola and pleurotus, Green cream with kale and smoked stracciatella, and for dessert, the Mascarpone cream with white salt caramel.

I was truly impressed and can’t wait...
