Quick Asia — Restaurant in Lisbon

AVOID THIS PLACE. The food is not authentic Thai. The flavour is watered down and bland. The chicken dish comes with only STRIPES of tiny chicken. Also, all the sauces actually taste the same despite the different descriptions.

I ordered a second portion of soupy chicken dish + rice. Couldn’t finish it so I asked them to pack it. Isn’t it common sense to put the dish into one container and the rice into another? Instead, the lady mixed both the soup and the rice into one single container. I was shocked and appalled and flabbergasted. What on earth? I asked for a separate container and the lady said I have to pay extra and that’s how they always pack the food. She looked at me with disdain as if I am a crazy psychiatric patient. Huh?? You’re telling me if someone ordered soup and rice online, they will receive it in one single container? No common sense. No brain.

I also wanted to pay using cash but the lady said they don’t have change for €100 notes, and replied me in a passive aggressive way, “usually customers pay using card” Excuse me? The entire restaurant doesn’t have €80 in cash? What a poor planning.

The management should earn some proper Asian way of handling food before you call yourself a Thai restaurant. There is no way an Asian establishment will pack food in that atrocious way. Um Pad Thai gostosinho, uma variedade louca, e no final uma carteira feliz. . Quick Asia 🍛 . “Sempre que venho a Lisboa, tenho que ir lá comer Pad Thai”. Foi assim que a minha amiga Dina - uma autêntica foodie do Porto, - me introduziu ao Quick Asia. É raro, mas acontece muito! Esta coisa de pessoas fora de Lisboa me indicarem tasquinhos gostosos da capital que desconhecia por completo. E uma declaração de amor deste calibre merecia ser avaliada mais a fundo. . Há literalmente magia num bom Pad Thai de camarão, e por isso sou minuciosa na avaliação sensorial (cheiro e apresentação importa,) e gostativa de cada Pad Thai experimentado que junto à lista. Um Quick Survey nas minhas redes sociais, - um teste para saber se prioritizava o Quick Asia na lista dos “a experimentar” - revelou que este é para muitos indicado como o “melhor Pad Thai de Lisboa”. Convenceram-me. . O Quick Asia é um espaço pequeno e de aspeto humilde, numa das minhas ruas preferidas para comer perto do Marquês de Pombal. Tem duas mesas no exterior, umas seis no interior, e apenas uma empregada de mesa, o que num dia mais movimentado pode levar a um serviço mais demorado (provavelmente o único ponto mais negativo que tenho a apontar neste espaço). A carta é altamente variada, com várias opções de pratos de frango, vaca, pato, camarão, vegetariano, e uma opção especialmente pensada para os indecisos (eu): os combinados Quick Asia, que acabam por misturar tudo (disponível para entradas e prato com arroz). Os preços são super acessíveis e vêm grandes quantidades - um verdadeiro oposto do famoso Boa-Bao. . Sobre o Pad Thai: é bom, bem servido, e já nem me lembro da última vez que paguei um prato com camarão a 10€. Mas confesso que a nível de sabor continuo a preferir o do Siam Square. Em suma: a nível de preço-qualidade não há concorrência em Lisboa para o Quick Asia. The food was bad. I ordered a vegan noodles,It was unbearably salty and when I told them that it was unedible with the amount of salt and soy sauce it was made with. I was met with a lot of attitude and a non-apologetic tone. The response I got was "You should have told us before making that you needed less salt"... she took the dish back to the kitchen, and came back saying that "This is how we make the dish and everyone eats this", there was still no apology. My friends got two curries (red curry and peanut curry) both were watery and tasteless. The service and terrible food ruined the entire experience and left a sour taste...
