Great atmosphere but horribly bland and expensive food. Absolutely disappointed. I had broccoli asparagus lime rice and I thought it would have actual rice in it, not that they would take the leftover broccoli and asparagus that they couldn’t serve other customers, grind it up, set it on top of vegan cream that they poured out of a can, throw a few slices of decorative veggies, some small blobs of jam or whatever those were, couple of lime wedges to give it 1% of flavor and consider that as a main vegan dish. No sides of anything more consistent like for the meaty plates. Thankfully the portions my friends got were bigger so they could spare me some actual rice and some veggies. Otherwise this meal was not even 200 calories. The cocktail I had was more filling and flavorful. I wish some chefs would have to live off of the “vegan plates” they serve their customers to see how ridiculously unfair they are asking 14 euros for unseasoned, bland vegetables that even they would not enjoy. 30 euros wasted on 1 drink and this “meal”. Avoid this tourist trap at all cost and if you do decide to go for the atmosphere, go for drinks (cocktails only cause 1 glass of cheap wine was 15 euros) but...
Read moreWe had a nice evening at Restaurant Bar Animal. The food we chose, risotto, was good, not spectacular, but good. The Tuna taco was delicious! The portions were more than enough!
The cocktail was out of the ordinary and had a very interesting taste, in a positive way.
The service was great! The staff is polite and attentive! They gave my daughter extra birthday attention. That was a success: they came out singing happy birthday with a dessert free of charge and champagne or prosecco. Thanks to waiter Andrea. The waiter with the curls.
What I did notice is that the staff has a different level of waiting experience e.g. we missed some explaining about the food, especially with the amuse we received. I had to ask what it was.
Nevertheless, the cocktail and wine tasted superb and the food was nice.
I gave 3 points for atmosphere because we felt the restaurant looks less interesting without the view of the garden, in my humble opinion. Sadly, it was raining that day, so we couldn't sit outside. We especially came for the view...
Read moreIt was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the amazing and friendly staff to the cozy atmosphere, the chef's creative choices, flavorful and well-balanced dishes, and outstanding cocktails, everything was on point. The experience began with a very warm welcome as we were guided to our table. While browsing the menu and soaking in the environment and decor, we were served a perfectly balanced cocktail (highly recommend the Girafa). We weren’t totally sure about what to order, so we followed the chef’s recommendations, and that turned out to be the best decision. To start, we ordered the Wild Broccoli. You’ll never look at broccoli the same way again. Absolutely delicious! Then we shared the Duck with Tagliatelle, Chicken Miso, and Pork Tenderloin. All were fantastic, but personally, the duck and pork were on another level. I honestly can’t decide which one was better — both were divine. For dessert, we chose the Osaka Chocolate, their best seller — and we understood why. Would I recommend...
