Restaurante Bistek — Restaurant in Lisbon

Really dont come here for a quick snack during the day. We checked Maps: 3.9 is OK, so we went in. A woman who seems to be the manager was engaged but unfortunately the other workers were not friendly, somehow passive aggressive, and even served the wrong food. I ordered a FRUIT SALAT and not a Bife a Bistek - thats a whole meal and a just wanted a snack. The waitress asked if something was wrong, I told her and still had the food for 5 more minutes before the manager came and kindly asked what was wrong.

The beef my friend had was also not ad good. The home sauce super thick. The fruit salat very small and simple. You can see that on the pictures.

Wandering round Parque das Nações area before visit oceanarium. Lots of bland chain looking places but stumbled on this cheap and cheerful place. It’s great. Hearty basic stuff done really well. Incredibly good value esp the lunch menu deal for 11.50 for 2 courses plus drink. We all had burgers (two vegan and me with the house special - beef). I’ll say none of this ‘best burger ever’ nonsense .. but they were all really good and the chips were home cooked and excellent. Seemed like a local crowd mainly and it did get busy after we arrived ( we got there midday)....

Uma sexta-feira de visita ao oceanário terminamos a visita sem saber onde almoçar. Decidimos perguntar a uma funcionária da loja de uma Vodafone que nos indicou este restaurante e que bela surpresa foi. Várias escolhas para prato do dia. Estávamos famintos, devo admitir. Pedimos o famoso prego (Bitoque por terras Lisboetas). Trouxeram pão, azeitonas e um prato recheado com um belo bife (tenro e que ocupava o prato de uma ponta à outra) ovo, arroz com sabor a cenoura e batata frita verdadeira (não gosto da congelada). Tudo de boa qualidade e bem confeccionado. Até a cerveja é Super Bock (coisa rara em Lisboa que normalmente servem Sagres que não é propriamente a minha preferida). Opção incluída no preço sobremesa ou sopa. Escolhi e sobremesa e pedi Pudim (a pensar que seria dos instantâneos) e para minha surpresa era caseirinho e bem feito. Café também incluído. Resumindo 3 pessoas pagamos 25,50€ (8,50€ por menu) no Parque das Nações com esta qualidade e quantidade é realmente admirável. Outra coisa que me surpreendeu foi o facto da cozinha ser em frente à sala (a limpeza está à vista de todos) coisa que não se vê em todos os lados. Três Portistas satisfeitinhos....
