Unfortunately, a poor experience. Booked via the Fork with 30% discount. We were excited to give it a try as we love their restaurant that’s in Bairro Alto. Ordered beef bulgogi and kimchi jigae, were served with a bulgogi and different plate with kimchi. Mistakes happen. They rushed to correct the order, and I had to wait for my kimchi jigae and eat separately with my friend. Asked for the bill and we were informed that my plate had a 60% discount instead of 30% due to the server’s mistake. Of course we accepted it but tipped the server to only find out at home that mochi were added to the bill that we not only didn’t order, but didn’t even receive. We can tolerate honest mistakes of servers and try to tip and support with words of encouragements if they screw up, but we can’t stand being ripped off. Won’t visit this branch again, and it’s a shame, because we live in the neighborhood and thought we wouldn’t need to go to Bairro Alto for Korean food anymore. P.s. no complementary radish, higher prices, lacking atmosphere. All compared to the Bairro Alto branch. Save yourself an evening, and go elsewhere if you are in the neighborhood, or go to Soju Pocha in...
Read moreIt was a very disappointing experience. I've been to the bairro alto location and loved it! But you can tell this location lacks organization, and it is a much bigger space which makes it worse. We were a group of around 13 people, and the food took way too long. The dishes were served with a 30min/1h interval, meaning half of the table had their food and the other half didn't. We had to remind the staff of the dishes/drinks that were missing multiple times. We sat down at 20h, ordered the main dishes at like 20h40 and the last dish arrived at 22h40. They said there was an issue with the system so they couldn't register orders, but there was no effort to come to each table to confirm what was missing or let people know of the delay. Mistakes and unexpected issues happen and that is okay, but it's all about how you handle them and here there were clear solutions to make the situation better but nothing was done. Just coming up to the table to tell us how much time it would take or just letting us know there was a delay would've made things better. The food is okay, but honestly after waiting so long it didn't really taste...
Read moreLunch service on Saturday was a mess, both in terms of food quality and the service. We ordered soondubu jjigae, bibimbop, and two portions of fried chicken. Our meals came in three different stages - one of our friends didn’t get his food served until when all others were nearly done their meal. Soondubu jjigae had an odd flavor, the lone shrimp that was added taste of ammonia. The dark chicken meat used for fried chicken also was not the freshest, the sauces were masking the off meat quality. We had been to the one in Bairro Alto and had a great meal, so we are very disappointed by this one in our neighborhood. We are unlikely to return again nor recommend this...
