Went on Friday night, relatively early by Portuguese standards (around 19h30). The place was mostly empty but filled up very suddenly around 20h00 which I took as a good sign. I ordered the grilled sausage, octopus, and potatoes with the house white wine. The octopus was the best I've ever had--tender and perfectly grilled with loads of flavour. The sausage was likewise delicious but came a bit too early. Didn't want to fill up on it so it sat out cooling for about 20 minutes before the octopus and potatoes came.

The house white is made by the owner's own vineyard from what I understand, and was excellent.

I'd recommend looking at the menu before going. I didn't get the chipped cod which I regret! And I would have liked some bread and olives to start but my Portuguese is poor.

Overall this is a great place to visit if you want something authentic but not touristy. Fantastic food! ...

Has a very homey atmosphere that embodied local flavours with reasonable prices. We ordered the house wine which was exquisite and matched well with the dishes on our table. It was very tempting to try everything in the menu out of sheer curiosity and ended up immersed in Portuguese cuisine food binge. The Octopus Salad opened up the palate to the mains Lagariero Octopus, Chipped Cod, Setubal Cuttlefish and concluded it with the Cod Salad. Not your conventional way of going about with things but bellies were very full at the end of the meal and deserts were out of the question as we still wanted to be able to walk home and not pass out in the restaurant. Customer service was very warm and welcoming by none other than Henrique Ramos himself. Thank you for...

A "Wow" moment, from the ambience, to the food, the service... just wow. Never been to Lisbon before, but this is how I imagined the food to be...

We (2 adults) started with olives, bread and sheep cheese... heavanly.

For the main course, we had garlic prawns, oiled octopus, white rice, sauteed mushrooms and the house wine, which bears the name of the owner. The octopus was so good, we even ordered a second serving 🙈

Barely any place left for dessert, we still managed to taste the almond cake with an espresso.

An unforgetable culinary experience.. all time top 3 for me. 10 thumbs up, on...

A classy tavern situated on the business center of Lisbon with traditional portuguese dishes and affordable menus. For 15€ you get couverts (bread and olives), a soup, the main dish, water and a coffee. Drinks and desserts are on the side. It's relatively cheap and the food is good. Getting a table on a weekday may prove difficult as they don't take reservations and operate on a "first come, first served" system. All in all it's a good place to eat some old school portuguese food for an affordable price.
