Budget friendly hotel with free breakfast. Although the rooms are compact they have everything they need for a basic stay. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom is just about the right size as compared to other hotels. Check in is quick. The lift is not too big. The choices at breakfast are limited but considering the price it's expected. Within close proximity of the train station and many restaurants around the area. Shopping malls within 5- 10 minutes of walking. Easily accessible.

Cosy budget friendly hotel in modern part of the town. Close to metro stations, distance to old town less than 10 minutes by taxi or Uber ( around €5 ) Rate for stay also usually increased breakfast which is quite boring but just around the corner you can find lovely traditional bakery shop with scrumptious pastry and lunch opinions.

OK, if all one needs is a place to sleep at relatively low Lisbon prices then this hotel is a good fit.||Hotel had an elevator.||It is an older hotel and our first room faced the rear of the hotel and had a tub shower, somewhat of a trip hazard for us older folks. Sink drained extremely slow. Plenty of clean towels were provided along with shower gel and bathroom.||Beds (2 x twin) were somewhat hard and very uncomfortable to sit up in with the supplied pillows. Room had an extra single bed, with the 3rd bed taking up precious space.||Room did have a safe and a small refrigerator. Found out that not all safes were fixed in place. Safe could actually be removed by hand. Room had an A/C.||Breakfast was, in my humble opinion, not up to EU standards. Limited bread selection, only salted butter, a couple of jams, cheese, and a somewhat mysterious cold cut. Typical hotel coffee machine serving various coffee selections.||Our 2nd room only had 2 twin size beds (approximates a US king), but the room was still very small, difficult to find space for 2 standard size suit cases. ||Beds were still rather firm. Bath was a bit more modern in that it had a standard shower and upgraded sink with standard gels and soaps. Room faced the street but area was very quiet at night. This room had a tea kettle, a couple of tea bags and cups.||They will store luggage (at no cost) if making a side trip to Porto with less gear and returning to the hotel at a later date.||There are normally taxis lined up at the curb, costing about 6 Euro to get to the airport, usually give the chap a 10 to include lifting the heavy luggage into the back.||It is within a block of the Saldanha metro station (which will get you to both the Oriente train station and the airport using ticket machines that take both credit cards and cash) and surrounded by many restaurants (Udon recommended, decent food and good price). There are also plenty of Pastelerias nearby serving good bakery items and coffee. Never did figure out how to get a mug size coffee though. |Beer in most restaurants is reasonably priced (by US standards) at approx. 3-4 Euro for 1/2 liter 'caneca' (draft), which includes 23% IVA !, bottles go for 2.50 Euro or so.||Hotel is somewhat removed from the main sights, especially Belem Tower, so Metro and Bus travel is required. Note, metro does not reach Belem Tower, only buses. The queue for the tower and Jeronimos Monastery can be extremely long (...

Room||The room was ok. the door was open when I arrived, but ok must be for ventilation. There was an as tray on the desk (strange). I dont smoke and it was not in the booking description. The room luckily did not smell like smoke. ||The beds were clean and I slept good.||I did have some kind of power failure on some sockets but that was resolved quickly adter notifying the personell. ||||||Breakfast||The breakfast was very basic, like very basic. There was bread, 1 kind of cheese, 1 kind of meat, yoghurt and fruit (check the pictures). ||||Bathroom||The bathroom was clean and everything worked. ||||Location||The location was great. It was easy to get to the Subway from the Hotel and had no issues getting around.||||Employees||I had a really helpful employee with showing me the map and where to go in Lisbon, but some other employees where not super helpfull (maybe the...

Man muss dann eben immer etwas schlichten.
