We stayed at the Patria hotel during our four night stay in Lisbon in November. We found the hotel to be spotless, tidy and well organised and staff members were always pleasant and helpful. Check in is after 3pm and check out is before 12 noon and there is a 24 hour reception desk. Breakfast is included in the cost of the room and is served between 7.30am and about 10.30am. The breakfast was basic but it was well cooked and plentiful. The hotel has free WiFi throughout the building and the rooms where cleaned and the towels were changed every day. There are two small lifts in the hotel but there are about 15 steps to climb before you reach the lifts making it unsuitable for wheel chairs and hard work for families with prams etc.||||We had an early flight into Lisbon and as check in was after 3pm we were allowed to leave our cases at the hotel reception until we checked in later on that day. We felt that this was a really nice gesture by the hotel. When we returned the check in was quick and easy. However, one point to remember when checking in is that there is a city tax to pay in Lisbon of €1 per person per night for guests aged 13 and older.||||The room and bathroom were well decorated, clean and tidy. They had tea and coffee making facilities and also a small fridge. There was also a safe deposit box in the room along with two bottles of water and biscuits. Soap, shower gel and shampoo etc were also supplied in the bathroom. ||||The hotel is in an excellent location. Twenty minutes from the airport on the Red Line (10 stops) and it’s well situated for other tram and metro links across the city. The nearest metro station was Saldanha which was about 5 mins walk away and there are also various bus routes going from the surrounding roads. There are plenty of shops, chemists, fast food outlets, cafes and restaurants close by. ||||One point to remember before booking at this hotel is that dogs are allowed in the rooms. So if you suffer from any sort of pet allergies etc then you better give this hotel a miss. However, apart from that we felt that it was great value for money and we couldn’t really find any negative points! We really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely stay again if we ever...
Read moreStayed 3 nights from 19th to 22nd September, with family booked a family suite room. We arrived late evening and the check in was okish. There was a lady customer service assistant who was very irate with the male customer service assistant. ||When asked for an iron, they stated the current iron had been stolen by another customer, so we had no use of an iron during our stay. ||The room was fine, but the wif was very weak, lack of tea bags, sugar and mugs- only 2, and we was 4!. They obviously did not stock up for us. ||Asked the customer service guy to provide tea bags and extra mugs, he said tea bags not available and gave us 2 mismatched mugs. ||Towels and sheets were changed daily, hotel in great location but customer service was appalling from the female customer service assistant. ||When we checked out, she said absolutely nothing, cause she was busy being mad with another assistant. This was quite evident on leaving the hotel, paid all this money to stay and not a good bye or thanks for staying here! You need to train this lady in how to behave in front of...
Read moreThe hotel is not bad, for one with only one star. |The check in went smoothly. And there is a person in the reception 24 hours. |To walk up a few steps and with 2 very narrow elevators makes this hotel impossible for people in wheelchairs to use it. |The room we got was rather small. Only a small closet, so we could not keep all our clothes in it. Luckily we always pack our clothes in bags, so we could keep them on a shelf in the nightstand. Our suitcases had to stand up on the floor. |And there was some leak from the bathroom so the water came up between the floorboards. |The room had a balcony with 2 chairs and a table. But we didn't enjoy sitting there because smoking was obviously allowed on the balconies and bad smell came all the way up to us. Even though smoking is not allowed in the room, there was an ashtray on the balcony table. |The breakfast was good. There was a variation of bread and yogurt. A machine with juices and good coffee. |And the price was a bit high for a hotel...
