Good food, good environment, but too pricey for the overall service provided. Boteco Dona Luzia boasts a stylish, laid back restaurant with a polite and helpful staff. The food is mostly traditional brasilian cuisine and is undoubtedly good quality and passionately made according to Brazil's original recipes. I ordered the chicken leg (coxinhas de frango) for starters and the picanha for the main dish, which brings rice and some spices to which i added french fries, finishing off with the brigadeiro chocolate cake and 2 Heinekken 0,5l beer cups. In the end i payed 50€ for the whole meal which i felt that, in comparison with other competitor restaurants, was a bit steep considering the serving sizes and the food quality (good but not exceptional). I still consider Boteco Dona Luzia a solid option for a laid back, informal eating out but there's cheaper options with better quality food out there and, considering that, i doubt i will be returning. Ps: The brigadeiro is really, really good and one of the best i ever had.

tl;dr: it’s Brazil. If you like Brazilian food and the ambiance of a Brazilian bar, go here. As an expat, one occasionally misses their homeland, even if you feel sad or angry about its problems. Feeling like you’re back for a little while can be a precious respite. Visiting here felt like home. Boisterous, happy people, incredibly friendly service, live music and good food. Someone at our table was celebrating their birthday, and I mentioned that in passing to one of the waiters. Suddenly, the band stopped to sing them happy birthday, with everyone signing along, and they brought the person a slice of pudim with a candle. So charming, so caring. So Brazilian 🤗 Very happy with the place. Will return to Munich with a partially broken heart, but a happy one nonetheless.

The service here is better than the food. We ordered a couple of appetizers and 2 feijoada plates, and the appetizers were great, but the feijoada was old. It was very salty as if it had been reheated over and over and brought to us cold. One of the plates only had fat and no meat, so the quality was not very good. The desserts were excellent. We went on the weekend, so they have live music with non-mandatory cover which we gladly paid as we enjoyed the samba. We may go back for a drink and music, but not for food.
