Buonapizza — Restaurant in Lisbon

We were 11 people that went to lunch celebrating a birthday, the food was really amazing and delicious but the staff was very disappointing. None of them was able to smile, when I arrived with my boyfriend and a little bit late(the rest of the group was already there) I felt I was disturbing them instead of feeling welcomed. My friends were already drinking wine and I was left there at least for 20 minutes pregnant and none of the staff was capable of coming to ask if I wanted something to drink, the place was almost empty and they were just standing around waiting and looking everywhere except the table, so my boyfriend called one of the staff members to ask for a Sangria and one more time the staff lady was walking away with no regards for my request, in a hurry, instead I had the need to almost “scream” before she walked away to ask for my non alcoholic drink as per I am soooo visibly pregnant. At the end of the delicious food another staff came to ask if we wanted some dessert, my friend who was celebrating his birthday asked for the cake they had stored away that he had brought but instead of bringing the cake she was rudely asking and ignoring my friend if we wanted a dessert, again my friend asked gently to bring the cake, and she rudely informed that the kitchen was about to close and we needed to ask for desserts, my friend kindly informed her that if she was quick enough to bring the cake we could see if everyone liked it and then promptly decide on the dessert, again she never smiled or listen to the request. She left and went to pick the cake. At the end of the lunch around 15:30 another different staff came to received the payment, she was everything but friendly, rudely took payments from everyone, never smiled and only when my friend kindly said that he wanted to leave a Tip she became a little bit soft and “kind”. Unfortunately because of the bad vibe from the staff and the disgusted look that they had on their faces, looking bored and annoyed I have no desire whatsoever to repeat the experience, and I would not recommend this restaurant, except for take out or delivery (I had goat cheese pizza with honey and rúcula 🤌🤌) because the food was really good and well prepared, the sangria (from my friends feedback was definitely not worth it). So in my opinion if this restaurant had a more welcoming and warming staff with More customer service I would totally recommend, as it was this Sunday 4th of December I would never go back. Please please just treat your customers with respect, all of my friends were so polite and kind, there was no reason for this type of service, because your prices aren’t cheap and even if they were no one deserves to eat feeling that they are invading a space were they don’t belong....

Tried to eat there, reception was so bad, will never go back. My 82 yr old mother (walks very slowly) my wife and myself went to this restaurant on Nov 30th, a Wednesday night, around 7pm, my wife walked ahead to see if the restaurant was open, I followed behind with my slow walking mother. Wife gets there, restaurant was open, she gives me thumbs up from afar. My wife went in saying more people were coming, girls at the reception said ok. When I arrived with my mother, then we were told that we needed reservations, the restaurant was empty, not one single customer in there, tables were all clear, no tablecloth, no set up, nothing. We weren't even asked if we had a reservation, right away we were told we needed reservations, on a Wednesday night. We were dressed properly, clean and clean looking, we afford to eat at restaurants, this was the end of our vacation. I just left with a very sour feeling, found another Italian restaurant close by where food and service were exceptional. I will never try to set foot at Buonapizza or is it Malapizza. ...

Very mediocre place overall, went as part of a friend group reservation. Strong points:

Sangria: genuinely great, very well made. Ravioli: quite tasty.

And thats's where the good part ends. Now for the weak points:

Pizza: middling for the price, sauce was very sweet, as if using pre-made tomato paste rather than proper pizza sauce.

Ravioli: Great, but very little for the price.

Tiramisú: Barely can be called one, lacking Amaretto presence altogether, and topped with more than half a centimeter of powdered chocolate, making the top unedible without coughing. Overall felt more like whipped cream with coffee and biscuit than a proper Tiramisú. A true waste of 5€.

Limoncello: vodka mixed with lemonade. And poor quality vodka at that. Vodka in a disguise, not liquor. Feels like taking shots in a bar nght out, not as a...
