one of the worst customer service experiences i had received at a restaurant in Lisbon. Thanks to the waitress named Rute, as you can see in the picture, I didn't eat the food because the taste of the meat was off. When the bill came, the appetizer and other items were not removed from the bill. Rute explained that they tasted the appetizer once we had sent it back, and it was fine. "And that customer's are not always right and she know people like us." And that we need to pay because we were lying that the food was prepared correctly. The way she spoke to us, I have never had experience that kind of service before, having a waited or waitress yelling at us in the middle of the restaurant. And no manager was available until 4:30pm, one young man did come to help after watching Rute yelling at us and refused to stop and take the credit card payment because she wanted to prove her point about the quality of the food. I ordered the croquettes, and black pig cheeks, I had no problem paying for the croquettes because i did eat one of them before realizing how bad they were, but for the pig cheeks as soon as i tried them I couldn't even swallow it, the taste was off. We also had order sangria and chicken wrap. We only asked about the pig cheeks to be removed from the bill because I didn't eat any of it, and Rute didn't care to even replace it with anything else. Read moreI visited this restaurant the 1st of April 2017. I read a couple of reviews before I booked and they all seem good so I was pretty excited. But based on my experience it's absolutely impossible that there is the same owner as before.
The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived even though they said it was almost full when I made the reservation a couple of hours earlier. We had a starter and a glass of wine (which we have to ask twice for). The starter was just green sallat leafs and some pine nuts for 12€, no oil no anything. I had a small slice of bread which they charged 6€ for. I usually don't have any problem to pay a couple of hundred euros if I go out on a restaurant.
The main dish was completely inedible! I've never returned something on a restaurant before but this wasn't even a dish, it was just a couple of cold, dry ingredients on a plate. We kindly said to the waitress that we we're a little bit disappointed. After a very long time we ended up with a mediocre risotto.
The bill was 98€ and I said we weren't really expecting to pay for the dish that we returned. The waitress got to the manager who started to arguing with us. The whole situation was really strange. The manager just walked away and return one minute later and slam the card machine in the table. The whole thing was probably the most unprofessional thing ever seen.
