Younik - Dare to be You — Local services in Lisbon

Stopped by here on my last day in Portugal looking for some jewelry/accessories that were a little nicer and more personalized than the generic cheap stuff that is sold in every single shop in town.

Ended up spending at least an hour with Patricia, the shop owner, talking about what I was looking for, and she was so patient in helping me find a few pieces that I could take home for my family. She helped me pick out a necklace, bracelet and wrist charm, and the recipients at home could not have been happier.

Even when the bracelet that I brought home had an issue, Patricia went to bat for me, contacted the manufacturer (one of the few pieces in her store that she did not make herself!) and had a new one shipped out to me- OVERSEAS. Talk about amazing service.

Last week I walked past Younik as a tourist and it seemed closed. But a super friendly lady, I would say the owner, was just opening the store, putting her stuff inside and indicated that we could come in. We went in, started talking. She showed me beautiful bracelets, that's what I came for since I take a bracelet from every destination, if I find a nice one. She also gave her opinion about what she liked and why, even if it wasn't exactly my idea at that moment. And I am very grateful for that. Not just saying "That looks great on you" just to sell. And so I listened to a beautiful, super nice, customer-oriented lady and I am completely happy with what I bought at YOUNIK. Everyday I carry a piece of Lisboa with me....

What a special shop. I was searching for local artists and saw the great reviews. I looked at various shops but this shop is like no other. They are so well deserved. The owner's husband was working that day and he was such a pleasure to deal with. We had a lovely conversation about Lisbon and the jewellery. Everything is unique and well priced. I chose one of the more expensive earrings because I fell in love with them. Beautiful design, high quality, unique.
