Tasca Mastai — Restaurant in Lisbon

CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT The hubs and I were at Tasco Do Chico having a quick drink and listening to the first act of Fado, and really needed to eat thereafter. We did a quick walk over to this place and enjoyed a couple of played of the day. The vibe is a relaxing cafe that opens late with the option of cocktails, beer and food. We had the Salads de Polvo - Octopus Salad Tapas (EUR5) and the Bacalhau à Bràs - cod, potatoes, egg (EUR8). No drinks as we were still full of drinks from Fado. Both dishes came within 10 mins. Both were super tasty and amazingly less salty than most places we have been in Portugal. The flavours are simple, but they let the main ingredients shine in their own unique flavours. We highly recommend Bacalhau à Bràs. The egg is almost invisible but provides such as amazingly creamy texture. It is accompanied by a salad and some toasts. The Salads de Polvo's octopus is perfectly cooked - it is soft and chewy. The octopus is accompanied by toasts. The place started to get really busy by 10pm. Overall, EXCELLENT service and food....

Ottimo!!! People, you gotta stop here and try the meatballs and drink a good aperol Spritz. I was kind of suspicious.. I'm Italian in a place that claims to be Italian in lisbon. I had to take my word back, the owners are super caring and sweet, the food is seriously yummy, watch out for portions! The bruschetta can be easily shared by 2 persons. I love the varied offer, cocktails, wines, but please get a spritz, you will for sure find the one that fits you the best! Meatballs, the sauce so genuinely homemade and crazy tasty trust me. The place is small, not many tables and quite busy, great atmosphere and really really honest prices!...

Went in for a drinks only and by the view menu had nice options of food here. However our drinks where great, she ordered Aperol sprits that was nicely balanced and really nice. I went for Negroni that covered my wishes. Had a game of "find the valdo" while at it and overall atmosphere was great. One note that we noticed bit to late was that they don't accept card payment so get some cash if on the way. Good place to visit for a bite or drink, take...
