The Brunch Room — Restaurant in Lisbon

Nice eggs Benedict, friendly staff, but not so tasty mimosa.

The restaurant is attached to a hotel and they offer food to hotel guests and non-guests. They had a small breakfast buffet (think continental breakfast fare) and a decent menu. The Benedict was quite nice (flavorful sauce and runny yolk-perfection) but it would’ve been nice to have a few potatoes included to sop up the yummy hollandaise sauce.

The only disappointment was in the mimosa. The first glass was completely flat, we let them know and they brought us a new glasses. The second try was also very flat and tasted odd. Not sure what type of sparkling wine they use but we did not finish our drinks.

I’d come back for the food and service but try a different cocktail, or at least ask what type of sparkling wine they use before...

It’s like a nice hotel lobby with people with suitcases coming in and out through the cafe. Looks like where they have the breakfast buffet in the mornings. Service was not great - required to find staff to finally order. The basic brunch took a long time to arrive and was missing the orange juice (again having to go back to staff) and the jam/honey for the pancake. Cliente regular da casa desde a sua abertura verifico um decréscimo acentuadíssimo na qualidade do serviço prestado. A sra. Rita Araújo (responsável de sala) foi desagradável e muito pouco profissional. No passado dia 24 de maio solicitei como de costume o creme de abóbora e o risotto de cogumelos. Desde que comecei a comer o creme de abóbora (maravilhoso) que a quantidade tem vindo a diminuir drasticamente. Nesta visita o creme tinha apenas 2 dedos de altura numa taça que seria certa de 1/3 da taça que costumavam usar para o efeito. O preço não estava alterado. Não era nenhum menu. Não beneficiei de nenhuma promoção. Sobre o Risotto estava intragável de tão salgado. Avisei tanto a funcionária que estava a ajudar a distribuir os almoços como a sra. Rita. Nada foi feito. O prato permaneceu cheio e à minha frente. Foi recolhido cheio. Paguei a refeição na integra. Depois de pagar e percebendo que nenhuma atenção tinha sido dada à minha reclamação fiz questão de dizer que o serviço tinha sido péssimo, que iria fazer a reclamação e que aquele era um sítio a não visitar no futuro. De referir que era cliente assídua, de almoçar na casa pelo menos 2 vezes por semana. Não recomendo. A comida é cara e está...
