We went in on Wednesday the 21st of September 2022 for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I suffer from social anxiety and severe PTSD which means most likely than not it is very hard for me to go out like this. I hadn't been in a restaurant in person for about 3/4 years. I must say it was THE ABSOLUTE BEST experience I could've asked for!!! We were greeted by Sara at the door with a big smile and good mood which promptly showed us to our table for our reservation at 20:30. We scanned the absolutely delicious looking menu for a little while, enough time to choose and chat without feeling any kind of pressure. Viktorya came in to take our orders and with a very big, beautiful smile answered all my questions without making me feel like I was taking her time. She was very soft spoken and super attentive as well as professional! We were allowed a bit more time to chat and the entrées came in so very quickly! Maiker brought us our entrées, and as per our previous experience with the staff, he did not disappoint, extremely nice young man with a super approachable smile and attitude yet remaining professional at all times! The Pork Bao and Takoyaki were decadent to say the least, like the perfect marriage between ingredients, preparation and seasonings. We had the mains come in, 2 Tampopo Ramen, one with Udon Noodles and shitake mushrooms and another one as is, I must say this was heaven to the palate, all flavours from the broth to the pork, egg, vegetables were almost like a cloud of perfectly engineered umami goodness. Not a thing to mention if not great things, the place to go when you crave that perfect yet affordable Ramen.

Thank you so much to everyone, the cooks and staff for making this the best dining experience in...

A truly wonderful discovery in the heart of Lisbon, Udon is more than just a restaurant; it’s a tranquil escape. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance struck me. The calming, gentle music and tastefully minimalist decor created a serene atmosphere that immediately put me at ease after a busy day exploring the city. The menu is a delightful exploration of East Asian cuisine, showcasing what the restaurant does best: a really nice blend of authentic flavours from Japan and Thailand. While tempted by many dishes, I opted for their ramen, and it was simply amazing. The broth was incredibly rich and complex, with a depth of flavour that was both comforting and exciting. Each ingredient, from the perfectly cooked noodles to the tender toppings, tasted fresh and contributed beautifully to the whole dish. It was a masterpiece in a bowl. What elevates the experience even further is the attention to detail. The lady who served us was incredibly friendly and welcoming, guiding us through the menu with a genuine smile. It’s a small thing, but even the toilets were immaculately clean, reflecting the high standards they uphold throughout the establishment. Udon is a definite must-visit for anyone seeking exceptional food and a peaceful dining experience in Lisbon. I absolutely loved it and...

One of the worse experience since a long time. Where to start... First we entered the restaurant during happy hours (until 20h 2 cocktails or 2 cup of beer or wine for the price of one) as advertised outside the restaurante in two flyers. We seated at 19h10 asked which drinks were available for the happy hours... First answer from the server, happy hours ended at 19h... We told her, the flyers outside said till 20h.... She left to speak to someone (manager?!) and came back and said beer and wine were included in the happy hour, we asked which cocktails as per the flyers. She said no cocktails, we said "but the flyers..." The server ran to the manager, who came, we asked the same question, the manager said they had no cocktails anymore... Okay... Then he went outside and sprayed grey the cocktail part of the flyers. Very professional.

The ramen were a bit better than instant ramen, but not by much. The dumplings were supermarket quality. The bao were decent, even more compared to the rest. The katsu was soggy and uninteresting (coral chicken). The service was terrible.

With so many good restaurants around, avoid this one, trust me...

Bad not horrible Service, but ok food, though pricey. We first waited for like ages to be seated, even though there were plenty of spaces free, like cmon guys, do you really want to be that guy ???? After we were FINALLY seated, we took a look at the menu. They had a variety to choose from, as you would expect, there were udon noodles with all kinds of meat, appetizers like gyoza fired shrimp and so on. Drinks they had Beer, ice tea, Japanese sake(which is alcohol from Japan) and more. I decided to order the “corral chicken yakisoba” with udon noodle which was alright, but not too sure if it was really worth the 12,50 €. After the meal the waiter asked us if we would like some dessert or coffe, which we declined and later on got bill which was quite a hefty one. 3 star ⭐️

We liked Chicken curry a lot, all the other dishes were just normal. The waiters could be more emotionally involved, though the lady administrator was very accommodating. Overall, could be a non-expensive lunch option.

Gyoza were fine - small portions for the price but taste wise is similar to frozen dumpling I've had. Not the best but certainly ok tasting. The udon should not be considered udon. The soup was too soy forward with no dashi flavour. Noodles were more like handpulled Noodles rather than udon. My partners miso ramen was also too soy forward and the broth was one dimensional. Miso flavour was faint. Portion sizes were very small. Considering the location (Lisbon), this is serviceable. However, if i got this at home (Toronto) I would be quite unhappy.
