We arrived at the restaurant with great excitement — its central location and inviting menu immediately caught our attention. We were especially eager to try some local flavors.
Our first impressions were quite positive. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the prices were reasonable, which made us even more hopeful about the experience. However, we did encounter a few issues with the service and food.
The service staff, perhaps due to a busy evening, seemed a bit rushed and inattentive. The dishes were placed on the table rather hastily, which slightly diminished the overall dining experience.
As for the food, the sardine dish unfortunately did not meet expectations. The fish appeared underprepared and not thoroughly cleaned, so we kindly requested for the dish to be cancelled. Although it took some back and forth, the staff eventually handled the situation with understanding.
Other dishes were quite heavily seasoned with garlic, which seemed to overpower the natural flavors. Of course, this may be a matter of personal taste — some guests might actually enjoy that bold aroma.
Despite the drawbacks, the restaurant itself has a charming ambiance and clear potential. It’s possible that we simply visited on an off night. With a few adjustments in service and kitchen preparation, it could offer a much more enjoyable experience. We might consider returning in the future under different...

They all specialise in fish which is cooked outside on a charcoal grill. The whole road smells great. The restaurant was great. Very popular which gave it a nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was fun watching the staff running around with all sorts of fish. We had salmon which was good and cuttlefish which was also surprisingly good despite the tentacles! The mains were served with a huge bowl of delicious garlic and parsley new potatoes and a big bowl of cabbage etc. The deserts were brilliant. When given the menu, skip the deserts with pictures and go to the traditional Portuguese ones at the back. We had Pudim Abade de Priscos, a rich crème caramel pudding and Toucinho Do Céu, translated literally as Bacon from Heaven, a delicious Portuguese Almond Cake. We had 3 mains, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine and paid 45 euros...
Read moreIf you want to eat some freshly caught and grilled fish in Porto, I’d highly recommend to go here. The sardines were so fresh and tasted amazing. It’s a bit playing with the bones and stuff as usual, but that’s also what makes it fun, right?
The sea bass was even better. Recommend by the staff. They even showed us the fish and asked if we liked this one, before they put it in the grill. It had such a rich taste, fresh meat, and not too many bones as they helped with preparing it for the first bite.
Friendly staff that was helping us through the menu and gave us recommendations.
A small downside is that they automatically put olives and bread on every table, without asking. We ate like 3 pieces of bread (out of 15?) and 8 out of like 40 olives. And we got charged for it. I expected it to be on the house as it was unannounced and was on every...
