Callejero Restaurant in Porto is a gem of a find. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a lively and welcoming atmosphere, and you know you're in for a special dining experience.

The menu is full of authentic and flavorful urban City of Mexico dishes, with plenty options. I started with the Guacamole and Shrimp Ceviche, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of salt and spices. For my entree, I went with the Shrimp Tacos & Burrito de Birria, which was expertly prepared and served with a rich and savory sauce.

The Margaritas were delicious. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive, making me feel right at home.

One of the standout features of Callejero Restaurant is the attention to detail put into every dish. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were perfectly balanced, creating a dining experience that's unforgettable. ALE MADE OUR WHOLE EXPERIENCE!!! We are from Canada, here in Portugal for a techno event and we were craving some good authentic mexican food after the sunset. We picked Callejero because it was a few minutes away and had good reviews, and boy this place did not miss! Ale greeted us as the door and took a minute to tell us it would be anywhere from 10-15 minutes for a table. The place was rammed! Not a problem, it was great she even acknowledged us (most places here didn't even say hi to us at the door). We were grateful and took a look at the menu while we waited for our table, Ale offered for us to have a round of drinks while waiting in line, an absolute gem she is!!! The margarita's did NOT disappoint. The best I've had here so far. We had the Shark Tacos, Pork Belly Tacos and Cactus Tacos. Everything was on point. Hot sauces had a variety of mild to extra hot heat... and 2 Euro tequila shots. No brainer right? We had the best experience with casual dining in Porto, and it was a total surprise. Most places were packed on a Saturday evening, and we were struggling to find a table until we called this restaurant. They told us to come on over, and even though we saw another Mexican spot that was slammed, we decided to trust our instincts. From the moment we met William at the door, we knew we'd made the right choice. He immediately made us feel at home. We started with his recommendations: delicious nachos with dips and some fantastic margaritas. For the main course, we ordered an assortment of soft tacos. They were all amazing, but we each had our personal favorites. The service was impeccable—friendly, relaxed, and attentive without being intrusive. It felt like we were eating at a friend's house. To top it all off, they were playing the soundtrack from the movie Selena, which was a huge hit with my daughters when they were teenagers.
