Casa Kanimambo — Restaurant in Porto

I came here three times during my 6 day stay in Porto. Why? The loveliest staff, food prepared with love, kind locals (zero tourists), extremely fair prices (3 sandwiches, 2 glasses of wine for 10 euros), wifi & futbol (world cup!). I will definitely visit again.

I had one of my best lunches ever here. The place is full of locals and you could be seated with strangers at your table. The main dish (just choose between fish or meat) came first because the soup was not ready yet. Everything is a bit rough (the cleaning of the table) chaotic and local but that is so great about this place. People are very friendly and will help you friendly for sure. And the prices are very low: 4,50 for a main dish or menu and 1,50 for 0,5 liter of house wine. Great place and...

Don't bother coming anywhere else, here is a local must try. You could not have had a better experience, the staff, the food and atmosphere is one you tell all your friends about. I will come back without hesitation, the Bifana meals are delicious, well priced and generous portions. It is in an easy to get to part of Porto, unassuming but has ample seating, good menu range too, there is not too much English but you can manage without a problem and they accept both Card and Cash....
