To be clear, the food was great. Delicious. Small portions and a little pricey. It’s the reason this review isn’t 1 star.

But the service sucked. Badly.

My partner and I didn’t feel welcome. The food took a really long time to come out. For comparison, a couple arrived about 20mins after us, ordered food well after us, and had their dishes served before us. This was the case at most of the other tables around us. We also had to hail the waiter anytime we wanted something and he didn’t seem keen on serving us.

Most of this was forgivable, but after eating several dishes, we asked for the menu to order more, and the waiter told us we needed to leave in 5 minutes, so we couldn’t order more. Yes, the waiter told us the booking was for 90mins when we’d booked several days ago, but clearly we didn’t remember this. The waiter made no effort to remind us at any time, or to ask if we wanted more food at a reasonable time before the reservation ended. Maybe if the food had arrived in a more timely fashion, we could have completed our dinner.

So we left somewhat hungry, and very dissatisfied. I’ve had better service at McDonalds. Recommend looking at other restaurants in the area to avoid...

We went here on our last night after over a week traveling through Portugal, excited to enjoy some highly-rated sushi. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations.

Upon arrival, the staff was immediately unfriendly. We ordered three dishes, two beers, and sake, but were served the wrong food. When we politely pointed this out, they insisted we were supposed to order all at once and were upset about it, even though that wasn’t the case. We returned the dish we didn’t order, only to be met with a dismissive attitude and surprise at our request.

Throughout the meal, we noticed similar treatment toward other American guests, which led my friend to address the issue with our server. Rather than apologizing, they responded with more rudeness and zero accountability. The food itself was good, but the service was so poor that it overshadowed everything else.

In the end, we paid 100 euros for a disappointing experience that wasn’t worth it. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to enjoy sushi, I’d recommend...

After reading about the food and the chef in many top food articles, we’ve been wanting to try this spot for a while now!

We lucked out with a reservation last night and now we understand the hype 🥲. We tried the marinated mackerel, classic gyoza, salmon tatami, ceviche nikkel, tori nanbam, spicy tuna maki, and the brownie and everything was unreal!

The ceviche will be living in our heads rent free, forever. Absolutely delicious, packed with flavor. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection.

The 7 plates were overkill for 2 of us-we were stuffed and took food home. I’d recommend 4-5 plates + the dessert.

And the person saying the waiter was dry and knocking off a star like a weirdo, there is only one person serving all the tables, it’s a lot of work. And he’s just more of an introvert but he’s super professional and polite, and actually very funny and nice when you talk to him.

The ambience, music, food, vibe,...

The mix of textures in their sushi keeps me coming back for more—it’s truly unique! The fried chicken was absolutely delicious, and their recommendation of 7 dishes for 3 people was spot on. We left feeling satisfied. The desserts fell a little short compared to the excellent main dishes though. We also enjoyed a bottle of white wine, The Little Odissea, which paired beautifully with the food. The staff were warm and friendly, offering great suggestions and making the experience even better. If you’re looking for Japanese cuisine that delivers an explosion of textures and flavors beyond what you’ll find at most sushi spots in Porto, this is the place to go.
