I had really high expectations for this place based on its reviews, but unfortunately, the reality was quite disappointing. We had a reservation for a group of six people. They seated us, and then we waited for 20 minutes without anyone bringing us menus. After I asked if we could at least get a drink menu so we wouldn’t just sit there thirsty, the waiter finally reacted.

Shortly after, some appetizers arrived at our table – ones we hadn’t ordered. It seemed like a kind gesture from the restaurant, which we initially appreciated. However, we later found them added to our bill for €11, which was quite a surprise.

The food service was chaotic, and the taste? Not worth discussing. The meat was incredibly oversalted, the seafood fried rice had absolutely nothing “fried” about it – honestly one of the worst dishes we’ve ever had. It was just a tomato soup served with overcooked rice and frozen seafood. The highlight (unfortunately) was two tiny 4x10cm slices of crab. The codfish salad tasted more like Czech-style pickled sausages. The shrimp were okay – that’s about it.

The dessert was the final straw. I asked the waiter if the dessert was a burnt cheesecake as advertised – he didn’t understand, so I showed him a photo of what I meant. What we got instead was some strange frozen semi-finished product, definitely not what was promised.

Overall, the service was extremely unpleasant, slow, uninterested, and unable to...

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The food was absolutely incredible—an array of delicious tapas perfect for sharing, with a focus on Portuguese specialties. Even the fries were exceptional, crispy and full of flavor!

The atmosphere was simply magical: intimate, romantic, and yet warm and familial all at once. It’s the kind of place where you feel at home the moment you walk in.

A special shoutout to the owner, who was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, he went above and beyond to find us a table. A true professional who genuinely cares about his guests.

A couple of important tips: make sure to reserve in advance (in person) as this is a highly sought-after spot. And note that it’s cash payment only, so come prepared!

All in all, this is a gem of a place that deserves every bit of praise. A perfect night...

Being the first person to arrive at 7pm and started orders. After 20min, a breaded sausage came which tasted not bad. Then I waited another 20mins for the rest of my three dishes to arrive, while the people after me on different tables had gotten their piles of dishes.

Finally, my seafood rice, clam and mushroom arrived. For seafood rice, I don't know what kind of tomato can sauce they used to make, it tasted cheap. Then, the clam has nothing to write home about, because by this time I have had enough seafood in Lisbon Caparica to know what a good taste is.

I asked for bill, the waitress noted and took away my dishes, but the bill did no come. I had to ask nicely again after 5mins. Including a drink, in total it cost 19€ and I was very very surprised that they did not accept card payment. Worse, the ATM machine next to their restaurant is broken! What...

One of the best restaurants I tried during my trip to Portugal. It is open late (1:45 am) and the hospitality and food are incredible. We tried a lot of different things as it was easy to share (tapas style). My favorites were the salad with nuts, the baked cod, clams, shishito peppers, and vegetable soup but we also tried the shrimp with garlic, calamari and mango mousse - all very good! There were a good amount of vegetarian options but it is a seafood lovers place. The ambience is very cool with a variety of antique objects in cabinets, on the walls and ceiling. Price-point was very good too. I highly recommend!
