Had one of the best francesinhas in Porto here. With their warm atmosphere, friendly staff and well designed restaurant, me and a group of friends had a meal together that some might say is one for the memory boxes. Although being a table of ten and no booking the staff was super polite and let us know that there was a wait until they could seat us. This is no problem as a beer is just around the corner to help with the wait. They sent us a text message when our table was ready and seated us at the top floor. The restaurant is a bit small but they have managed to make the best out of it by having three floors for seating which made it intimate yet didn’t feel like we were sharing the table with the people next to us. We all orders some type of francesinha including the vegetarian option as well as half a francesinha which I have to admit is a genius idea for anyone who has never finished one in their life (more room for fries!!). The food was prepared so fast we hadn’t even made a dent in our drinks by the time it got to us, friendly staff came over and gave us all the warnings about the hot plates and left us to enjoy the immaculate sauce. I spent the rest of the evening dreaming about that sauce. So delicious and not rich, no heart burn was spotted out of 10 of us. If you’re looking for a great meal in a good restaurant please do try this place out. They also have burgers and other sorts for anyone who isn’t a francesinha fan. Vegetarian meals scored highly with my veggies friends. All in all a must try. (But I would recommend booking if you’re on a schedule)

Went there as a recommendation in my hotel. Allegedly the best Francesinha you could get in Porto. It was a Monday evening, the place was busy and attended by many locals, not many tourists in sight which was a good sign. Service was friendly, welcoming however the language barrier was noticeable, not as much as to affect your experience. Beer was cold and a nice selection. Sadly not too many Portuguese beers. Went for the typical Porto version of the Francesinha Á moda do porto . It was superb , everything you might want from a comfort dish. Had some garlic bread as well which was pretty standard , waiter that recommended the dish didn’t really explain that’s what it was otherwise I would have ordered something else. As it was a bit chilli outside I decided to get a Kwak beer which was a Belgian beer and very strong served in a very original vessel. Finished off the evening with a bit of a liquid dessert in the option of liqueur Beirao which was a honey liqueur and delicious. Something you only drink in Portugal, proper authentic. I would gladly return here in the future. There was satisfactory value for money as well.

If you're craving an authentic Francesinha, this is the place to be. The restaurant offers friendly service and a modern, cozy ambiance, attracting a younger crowd. Francesinha, a Portuguese guilty pleasure, is packed with comfort food essentials: meat, cheese, fried eggs, rich gravy, and fries. Despite being called a sandwich, it's a hearty meal. Translating to "The Little French Girl," it nods to the French croque madame. Legend has it that Francesinha was created in the 1950s by a returning immigrant from France, adapted to Portuguese tastes with a unique red sauce and grilled meats. Each restaurant in Porto boasts its secret sauce recipe, blending numerous ingredients for a profound depth of flavor.

Adoramos as batatas, ficámos fãs!! Boas...
