Great food. I only had the lamb hummus as it was big enough for me, but I will be back to try more dishes. Service was super fast, but I guess it was because of what I ordered also. Friendly staff :)
LE: Unfortunately I will have to balance the review for this place. I came back the next day to try more dishes. Lint soup was very good. Chicken shaworma average. The decrease in the stars comes from the misunderstanding that happened between me and the waiter taking my order. I was inquiring about allergens and ordered the smaller dish of chicken shaworma that was with fries. When it arrived at my table I didn't see any fries and went back to the menu on the phone( which is different from the one that it printed btw!) and i saw that right above what I ordered there was the chicken plate shaworma much bigger (maybe for 2 persons?) and ofc more expensive and without fries. I kindly asked them to correct it bc I ordered the one with fries and they did. When they brought the bill however they charged for the initial dish. I point it out nicely that they didn't rectify aaand the waiter was trying to convince me that I have to pay that:)) even if they corrected the dish and I ate the smaller cheaper dish. I asked to talk with the manager and he didn't even came to the table, the waiter said that he will cover the difference by himself making me feel like it was my fault when all I did was to be human and admit it could have been a misunderstanding. Very shifty attitude from their side. Will not be back here nor recommend it to people on my blog. Not worth the treatment for the...
Read moreDamasca One is a charming spot located in the heart of Souq Waqif, one of the most atmospheric areas in Doha. The restaurant’s décor is beautiful and captivating, reminiscent of traditional Damascene homes and old-style Syrian restaurants, which adds a unique cultural touch to the dining experience.
The restaurant is spread over two floors and also offers an outdoor seating area for those who prefer to enjoy the fresh air and vibrant surroundings of the souq. While reservations are not required, they are recommended during weekends and peak seasons due to the high foot traffic in the area.
Prices at Damasca One are slightly on the expensive side, but they are in line with what you would typically expect at Souq Waqif. The food itself is delicious, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including plenty of options for vegetarians.
During the first part of our visit, the service was a bit slow, and we had to repeat our orders a few times due to the heavy crowd. However, once the place started to quiet down, the atmosphere became peaceful and enjoyable, accompanied by soft, beautiful music.
In summary, if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience rather than just a big meal at a cheap price, Damasca One is an...

Since this is a Syrian restau, i personally, am not familiar with the food terms listed. Just ordered the ones with common names to be on safe side. U can ask the food attendant though, they are knowledgeable abt what to suggest.
