Zaatar w Zeit — Restaurant in Doha

Utterly deplorable experience! We found an empty table here and waited for someone to come and clean. It took over 10 minutes to finally get someone's attention to come and clean it. An almost disinterested person cleaned it and I had to point all the dirty spots, so they went in again and 5 minutes later came and cleaned the rest of it. Finally we were able to sit. No menus or scan codes. Again we had to wait another 10 minutes to flag another server for the menu. After getting the menu and almost 30 minutes after coming to this restaurant, I over-heard the server at the adjacent table telling them that it can take 30 mins for the food to come. When the server came to take our order I asked them and they confirmed that it will take 30-45 mins or even more for the order to come. Unapologetic and nonchalant! We got up and left. As some of the other reviews have pointed, the servers seem disinterested in their work and although it didn't look like they were very busy, they were taking a very long time.

The service was superb, that's how I should start. I admit that I wasn't the easiest customer today, the menu did not mention that there would be cilantro on the pizza and I was just asking for things here and there. The service was very professional and the waitress deserved a good tip for sure.

The pizza is really good, it's thin crusted and had good flavor. However, I ordered the BBQ Chicken and it barely had any BBQ sauce on it, however the crust was really good. When it comes to the pastry and baked things, Zaatar W Zeit is a step ahead. Their wraps are good too.

Next time I really want to try their banana and chocolate crepe! Should be really good.

My recommendation is that you should try a Zaatar wrap since it's their special dish where they got their name from it. But also, try their pizzas, this isn't a pizza restaurant, but they make very good quality pizzas, I loved it! Their fried halloumie cheese is...

I really enjoy eating at Zaatar Zeit, my favourite item to order is the famous chicken sandwich as its tastes amazing every time I have it. Full of flavour and enjoyable, the side dishes and other items on the menu I have tried are also good. The burger with the coleslaw in it though I don't think is a good idea as it makes the bun soggy. My review for this branch is that the service when I go is often not that good. Usually in the cooler months most people sit outside but I prefer to sit inside which is quiet but often it takes a long time for the server to come to you and if you want to get their attention they rarely walk by your area. I'm guessing as most attention is on the people outside but every now and again it's important to keep an eye on all customers incase they need something. The best branch for me is...
