Dear Lucia Restaurant Management,
I am writing to share my recent experience at your restaurant, which was unfortunately far from what I had hoped for. My reservation was for 5:00 PM, and we arrived on time. The lady at the reception initially welcomed us and said she would guide us to our table. However, we were then asked to wait, leaving us confused about whether our table was ready or not, despite having made a reservation in advance.
I had also requested a special table decoration when I made the booking, which cost 150 riyals. To my disappointment, there was only one rose and a Patel candle on the table, which had no flame. Furthermore, I had mentioned during the booking that it was my husband’s birthday and requested that a simple “Happy Birthday” message be written on the table. Unfortunately, this was not done either.
When the waiter asked if we wanted any dessert, we politely declined. However, when we finished our meal and shared our concerns with the receptionist, she informed us that the “Happy Birthday” message could only be written if we ordered dessert. This information had not been communicated to us beforehand, and it was disappointing to feel that the restaurant was focused on rigid policies rather than providing a positive customer experience.
In terms of service, while the first waiter (who appeared to be of Asian descent) was friendly and accommodating, the second waiter was unprofessional, with a rude tone that left us feeling uncomfortable. It’s not about getting something for free—we were happy to pay for the experience, but the customer service and attention to detail were extremely lacking.
This experience was not reflective of the high standards I had expected from a restaurant of your caliber. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and make improvements, as it was truly one of the worst dining...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to your esteemed restaurant, I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, among them the Burrata, Margherita Pizza, and Risotto Funghi. While the Burrata and Risotto were delightful, I encountered several issues with my order and overall experience that I hope can be addressed for future improvements.
Burrata Salad: The Burrata was excellent, and the suggestion to add Rocket Salad by the waiter was appreciated. However, I was not informed of the additional charge of 40 QAR for the salad until the bill arrived. Transparency regarding extra charges would be greatly appreciated in the future.
Margherita Pizza: Unfortunately, the pizza was served cold and burnt. Upon my complaint, it was taken back for reheating, but it returned moist and warm, compromising its quality significantly. It seemed as though it had been hastily reheated from a frozen state, which was disappointing, especially from a restaurant of your caliber.
Service Requests: Additionally, a request for a heater was made but never fulfilled, and the table light was not functioning, which detracted from our dining experience.
Response to Feedback: I was surprised that, despite raising these issues, there was no attempt from the management to address them or offer an apology. It felt as though there was an effort to minimize the situation rather than ensure customer satisfaction.
I had anticipated a memorable dining experience at your establishment, renowned for its quality and service. However, these oversights have marred my visit. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as my intentions are solely to see improvements that align with the high standards your restaurant professes. It would be reassuring to see more proactive measures taken in response to customer feedback to enhance the dining experience...
Read moreBeing in Doha for a short time, I naturally wanted to visit a restaurant with national cuisine, but I was advised to visit Lucia's Doha, an Italian restaurant. I went there 2 times, because being at Lucia's for lunch and being at Lucia's in the evening are two different experiences. So let's start with lunch. I would like to say that Lucia's Doha is not only about delicious Italian food, but also about professional service and the feeling of Italy in the desert. Real Italian coffee with a view of the sea, beautiful views, and the exquisite interior of the restaurant itself. It's nice that the waiters and the management take care of you and help you with your food choices. For me, not only the taste of food is important in a restaurant, but also the atmosphere. So, special respect to the restaurant manager, who personally comes to your table, takes care of each client and this is an extraordinary feeling that you are the main guest of the restaurant. Now about dinner at Lucia's Doha - this is a completely different Lucia's. Dinner at Lucia's Doha is an Italian show in which you can also take part if you wish, it is about the restaurant manager who personally prepares cocktails and pasta for customers and this is also part of the show, but let's not forget about the wonderful delicious food from the chef of Lucia's Doha. So, I heartily recommend Lucia's Doha and special respect to the restaurant...
