If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine and find yourself in Bucharest, then you absolutely must make a stop at Chimichanga. This cozy restaurant located in the heart of the city is a true gem, serving up some of the most flavorful Mexican food you'll find outside of Mexico itself.
From the moment you step inside Chimichanga, you're transported to a lively and vibrant Mexican cantina. The decor is bright and colorful, with festive murals adorning the walls and lively music filling the air. It's the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food. Chimichanga's burritos are simply out of this world. Each one is generously stuffed with tender and juicy meat, perfectly cooked rice, flavorful beans, and a mouthwatering blend of spices and seasonings. And don't even get me started on the guacamole - it's creamy, perfectly seasoned, and the perfect accompaniment to the burrito.
But it's not just the burritos that are amazing. Chimichanga's menu is packed full of classic Mexican dishes, each one more delicious than the last. And to top it all off, the service at Chimichanga is second to none. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help you navigate the menu or make recommendations.
All in all, if you're a lover of Mexican food and find yourself in Bucharest, then Chimichanga is an absolute must-visit. From the cozy atmosphere to the incredible food and top-notch service, this restaurant has it all. So go ahead, treat yourself to a burrito (or two) and let your taste buds take a trip south...
Read moreNot bad but I’ve been eating this food at authentic Mexican restaurants my whole life. Maybe I have a different interpretation of Mexican food. I had the Mexican salad which was nice but could have had more protein. I wasn’t aware of adding chicken or beef and was not asked. There were beans but not many and they were kidney not pinto beans. The guacamole as very good! We also tried a burrito with beef. The burrito wasn’t too bad but not my taste. The meat was maybe seasoned different than I was used to. Both dishes were medium hotness which was a question the waiter asked. The drinks were good but extremely small for a margarita at a Mexican restaurant in my opinion. One of my favorite things about Mexican restaurants is the large glasses for the margarita. I know things are different here in Eastern Europe so these problems I’m having are my opinion and you should try for yourself. The atmosphere is great and cool decor. All the staff are friendly but maybe the lady was tired and had a long evening. Last visit we talked to the tall guy. He was most likely the owner and extremely kind and friendly Thanks and we will definitely be back and try...
Read moreThis charming Tex-Mex diner had a relaxed, inviting vibe. We especially loved the semi-outdoor seating—it felt like we were perched on the pavement, watching the world go by. From our table, we could see the kitchen in action and the bartenders crafting cocktails, which added a lively touch to the atmosphere. The décor was simple yet nice, and the restrooms were clean, which is always a plus.
The food was good, with a variety of options to choose from. We had a few special requests, and the kitchen was happy to accommodate them, which we really appreciated. Portion sizes were generous-ish, though we did end up ordering an extra dish to satisfy our appetites.
While the flavors were enjoyable and well-balanced, there was something missing—that extra spark that makes a meal truly unforgettable. So although we had a great time, we couldn’t quite give it a full five stars.
The total came to 430L, which felt steep—even by UK standards. Still, every place sets its own pricing, and we respect that. Overall, it was a good...
