Visited in July 2012 — A bright, airy dining room with a roaring grill as its centrepiece, but the food was mixed. Bread was decent yet dry (4.5/10). Sardoncini marinati offered good sardine texture with rocket, tomato and pickled veg, but the acidity was harsh and lacked balance (5.5/10). Pappardelle agli asparagi had fine handmade pasta let down by weak accompaniments (3/10). Redemption came from the grill: galletto alla diavola was perfectly seasoned and succulent (9/10), while the grigliata pesce misto showcased fresh seafood lightly herbed and breaded before grilling — juicy, precise, full of craft (8.5/10). Dessert, a tortino al cioccolato, was molten and indulgent, paired with gelato — surprisingly excellent (8.5/10). Cesare’s grill is its strength; the...
Read moreDisappointing and quite frankly disgusting behavior toward me and my partner. We did not stay for the food as we left after sitting at the table like a couple of idiots waiting to be served only for the waiter to be looking at us weirdly from time to time and then went to serve other westerners who came in after us (we are ethnically Chinese). We went to complain to management but they only pointed us back to the waiters and the only response we got was “if we can wait then wait if not then go” and “there’s a lot of people”. Thanks again for a great time. The food menu looked interesting but too bad they can’t pair it with any...
Read moreThe food was good. The service left a lot to be desired. There are 2 older male waiters here and they are not friendly at all, they actually made me and my wife feel a little bit uncomfortable. I felt like we are being judged depending on what we order and how much we spend? Or maybe because we are a multi racial couple? Maybe I am wrong, I don’t know but the feeling is not nice. We had to ask for oils with our Coperto bread selection and also Parmesan with the pasta, shouldn’t it be standard to offer these? They don’t check on us, they feel they are above us. Sorry bad review but...
