Disorganized and very bad service!

As a former k.u.k. Hoflieferant, which husband explained to me as someone who delivers to kings & queens, emperors/empress, aristocrats, etc., they’re expected to have high quality service, but we were disappointed.

First, it took them forever to take our order. We got seated first but a waiter took the orders of the ladies from the adjacent table first who arrived after us. I think it was because the waiter spoke the same language as the ladies. They’re not Slovakians.

So after the waiter took their orders, he just left without even asking us if we already gave our orders. My husband had to call their attention so we can finally order. When the cakes arrived, we got spoons instead of dessert forks. It was very difficult eating with a spoon as the cakes we ordered had hard crusts. Mine even flew out of my plate as I sliced through the crust. With a dessert fork, this would not have happened. So we asked the waiter, the guy who took the orders of the ladies from the adjacent table, and requested for forks. And he totally forgot about it. We waited for the forks, saw the waiter pass by to attend to other tables, thinking he would remember what we requested once he sees us but nothing. We finished our cakes and the forks never arrived!

The cakes looked really good and appetizing but it was just ok. Not really...

Just sitting in the cafe, extremely displeased by the service but the cakes I ordered (Mayer cake and Chocolate dessert) are actually delicious and reasonably priced (about 3,50€) considering the location. Very crowded and loud but again - not surprising in the middle of the tourist area on a saturday. Nevertheless I wouldnt put it on my must-visit list if I would visit the city again. For the curious: was a tough decision since I saw the reviews but the cafe was recommended by a local tour guide so nevertheless I decided to enter. Quite disappointing - a lot of empty tables but not cleaned, so at first sitting at a pile of dishes left from previous visitors. Finally waitress came over and I asked her to accompany me to show window to show her the cakes I wanted to try and ask some info about these. So she said OK... And as I went up to the show window, she ran the other way. Having waited for 5 min. for her to come my way I went back to the table to wait for her return in sitting. My order came relatively quickly, after only 10 min. of waiting altogether, the check even quicker - only 3 - 5 min. All in all - nothing to look forward coming back to... At...

Breakfast was delocious - english breakfast and musli. Cofee was ok, nothing special. McCafe coffee is better. But what was shocking was the waitress and her attitude. She is really rude, the way she spoke to us and everyone around us. Having worked in customer service industry for the last 20 years myself, I couldnt believe the owners of this place would keep someone with such a bad attitude. Not one smile to anyone, negative body language, rude tone of voice.... We sat there for an hour and all 4 us agreed how unfriendly she was. I would not go eat there again just because of her. I did not feel welcomed as a customer.

The boys working there were much nicer. We were unlucky as our table "belonged" to the waitress. I hope owners will read this review ans have a chat with her. I saw more reviews here where people complained about her. I guess its the same one as she was the only female there.

We were there...

CAPPUCCINO WÄRE NOCH in Ordnung MIT 3,95. Schade.

We paid 17€ for 3 cakes take away, taste was ok but not worth the money. Blonde waitress was ignoring us & gives us side eyes, plus she could need a deodorant. No smile & hello, we didn’t feel welcome at all, other employees run away before I could say something, no other costumer, so they weren’t busy at all. Finally one lady took our order, so we are paying at the counter, so the rude blonde waitress came again and instead of saying can you please step a little bit aside, she ran into my sister and pushed her away. What’s wrong with you, don’t you have a mouth to speak, that’s so ridiculous. If I haven’t already paid we would leave.
