Actually, i was surprised that on saturday night in Bratislava its not easy yo find the place to eat. Most of them closes at 10pm… finally even the one which was open till 11.00 just sent us back and be just arrive to this one. Nobody blamed any word. This was great. We were seated immediately, ordered drinks and food. What was was ok, that specialty like wyagu meat, after I ordered was finished and another ordinary steak was more expensive than that one. All in total not bad, just may be a bit overpriced. Also all extras like bread, potato’s, sauce and etc has sone extra price, which a bit toooooo high. Small beer 0,25 l - 4,5 euro. The taste was ok. Thats the story…

What a cozy restaurant. A friendly waiter will guide you to a window seat. The wine recommended along with the T-bone steak creates the perfect atmosphere. The seafood dish is a must try at this place, but I recommend the king crab pasta. The salad served with the two main dishes is also very fresh and good. Best Choice!

This place tries to come across as fine dining, but even with a reservation made through the Grand Hotel River Park, we got seated in the catacombs in the very back right in front of the kitchen.

Getting to the table was an experience in itself. The front of the house shuffles you back out the.door into the other building half, past two lackluster displays of raw fish and squid (as if that was a testament of quality or high-end kitchen). As we turned the corner, even the waiter showing us to our table had to signal his colleagues in the room to quiet down.

At the table, it was freezing cold and we were given plastic menues that are worse than the snack bar around the corner. Even before you recover from the shock of high prices, briefly forgetting the shivers of your body trying to fight the cold, you are asked what you would like to drink - without having even been offered the drink menu. As such your add a state of emotional shock to the physical one, requiring a few seconds to recover from your confusion.

Once that is sorted out, the Rose is served by plumping down a half full bottle and then serving it - unfortunately even colder than the room itself. The bread + garlic bread served, is also colder than the room and comes in a wire metal basket with a aper napkin as it's base - once again in line with a dive bar and not a white table cloth dinner. The bread is meant to be eaten by mixing grated parmesan and olive oil - another oddity.

The food is plated on big plates to make it look fancy but in essence is not with the exuberant prices and offers a lackluster presentation at best. Dishes served with bread crumble due toe incredibly low quality bread, which is old and dry as well the beef tartare was just a glob of pink without texture, the fois gras was mostly apple and bread and the carpaccio frozen beef that was sliced and slightly brown vs. fresh red.

All this experience - constantly underscored by the pop charts music coming from the speakers and impersonal, whirlwind service that did nothing to provide a slow and food focused experience - ended up costing more than a dinner at the Grand Hotel River Park itself the night before.

At the end of the evening we left amused by such a bewildering experience, never to...

I’m very disappointed with this restaurant. Rather than going into every detail, I’ll keep it simple:

Food: 6/10 (the shrimp and wine were the only highlights) meat was extremely salty.

Customer service: 1/10

Interior/ambience: 6.8/10

Coming back? Never.

For what we spent for two people, I expected much more. Service should be great. service was consistently poor, not only for us, but for many other guests as well. The staff rarely checked on us, and there was no sense of hospitality or professionalism.

If the management truly wants to improve, the first step would be to invest in proper staff training. Guests should feel welcomed and at home, that’s one of the most important aspects of any hospitality business. Unfortunately, here it seemed that only certain “regulars” were treated with any real care, while everyone else was ignored.

But hey, good shrimps and wine 👌🏻😂

If you want to improve really consider changing your staff or train...

Tuhle recenzí píšu především proto, abychom už sem nikdy nešli a pamatovali si proč. Dvě hodiny v restauraci, 100 e a odcházeli...
