A very charming Italian place with a homey style but also at a restaurant level. As I understood, only two people work here, a waiter and a chef. They don’t offer a paper menu; instead, they verbally explain what they can make, and even if those options don’t suit you, they can create something special just for you. Honestly, I’m not a fan of this format. I like to sit and think, make my choices, then reconsider, and it would be great to see the prices. The dishes were wonderful, but unfortunately, I missed the mark with my choice of risotto. It had an interesting combination of prosciutto and, probably, figs, but the sweetness in the risotto wasn’t for me. Our bill came to 70 euros for one appetizer, two main courses, and four glasses of wine. In my opinion, the price matches the level of service, but I would still prefer to know the prices and dishes in advance. As a suggestion for the restaurant, you could type the daily menu (smth basic just for orientation) in the morning and...
Read moreThey offer a very personal service, at some point almost seems nice. Creating the expectation that you're about to leave a unique experience. The food is amazing, no doubt. But in the end, we'll that's kinda common in bratislava, always something in the end... you can only pay cash (again, very common), and they didn't even bother to hide the ATM machine. So, here comes Mamma, the cooker and owner, with a paper and a pen, making us the enormous chatity of splitting the bills (for them, it is a drama). So she does de separated bills, no menu, no prices, the prices she gave where not the sames that the guy told us. So a meal that was supposed to be over 20€ ist was almost 40€ each. So Italian in bratislava? Go to Basilico, the best tiramisu and pizza, or La Pala, expensive but...
Read moreExtremely talented chef! There is no menu (this means you don’t really have an idea of the price until the end) and you are able to choose what type of pasta/risotto you would like and the type of ingredients included. Very accommodating, they don’t serve beer but they went next door to get us some which was very kind of them. The wine choices were brilliant the red wine was one of the best I’ve had. Very friendly staff, very warm and cosy vibe with homely decor. The food was AMAZING such lovely pasta, perfect al dente and the cheese mushroom sauce was to die for (all made on the spot by the chef too!). Overall quirky as there is no menu and you just have to go with the flow- ended up being expensive but still worth it for...
