New Pulitzer — Restaurant in Bratislava

The somewhat different restaurant.

We had dinner here tonight. The ambience is really good and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.

We had a friendly service at the beginning and ordered the rump steak.

The food took a little bit but the steak was nice and rare as ordered. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold and the side dish was very small.

When we wanted to pay then came a waiter who had red eyes, could not speak English and slurred a bit. When we were then in front to pay it was clear to us that the waiter was well drunk. He even poured himself a beer in front of us while we were paying and drank it half empty. Then he hit the kitchen door several times and stormed it. It was still very funny to watch.

Food is very good but very expensive and the waiter may have been drinking. I recommend perhaps the closer...

It seemed that the service was under a lot of pressure even though the place wasn't overcrowded. Since we don't speak Slovak, the orientation was a bit difficult. We sat at the table for about 10 minutes until we were even noticed. Then we were informed that there was only one lunch menu, this information is unfortunately not visible from the outside. Unfortunately we were not asked for drinks at all. Up to here, everything would still have been bearable, but unfortunately the food tasted very bland and lovelessly prepared afterwards. The prices are absolutely in the lower segment, nevertheless I expect something different as a guest, if at the entrance several awards of Tripadvisor are...

Mixed feelings.

Staff are ok (1st one we spoke to didnot bother to turn towards us while responding, so I could barely hear him. Another one sighed when we moved from inside to out as it was pretty hot inside, and I decided to put up with smokers outside rather than sweat. The person who attended us was nice)

Food quantity - portions are pretty small

Food taste - my husband liked the taste of the food he ordered. I only ordered a starter, which I didnot quite like, so my husband ended up having it
