GOSTILNA POD VRBO — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

My friend and I stayed at Pod Vrbo for about 10 days . We could not have been happier with all aspects of our stay. The accommodation location is perfects, convenient , ( with parking ), super clean, amazing , friendly staff (something you don’t always find at BnB). The breakfast was excellent! Their restaurant has a great chef and the waiters are ever so accommodating. We booked the restaurant for a little evening gathering with some of my Slovenian relatives and the staff was awesome. Their restaurant’s outside seating is just lovely , quiet under the beautiful trees. Ljubljana is lucky to have a place like this . No need to look for any other place next time ! Pod Vrbo is it ! And ,yeah, Štruklji rule , as do their house wines.

Not bad place for a fast lunch since they have ready daily meals on offer. I just had one lunch, which was good enough for me to whish to come back and try more. Pumpkin soup was good (hot and creamy), and duck leg was for đaim course; red cabbage was not to my taste, it was rather sweet (not sour) and it let a lot of moisture out, it soaked the "mlinci" pasta, I am just not acostumed to the sweet watery taste. Mlinci pasta were thick, and bland in taste, would prefer them thinner and more frying/sauteeing in fat from the duck...

All in all, there is room to...

The working time on Saturdays is till 19:00. We wanted to have dinner and got there at 17:40. The waiter said we have 20 minutes to order and we agreed. We ordered 5 minutes later and waited 20 more minutes for the food. We started consuming our dinner, but the waiter was nervous and made everything possible to show us we have to eat really fast, because he wanted to go home. I rarely felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. We had to finish in 15 minutes and get out after he started switching off the lights. The time was...
