Fantastic, so much so that their bar staff know I'm OCD, ADHD, and have mild autism spectrum disorder which means I get generally anxious having to deal with new people, the bouncers look after the woman and greet you with respect, the staff are fast and on point, their music DJs and over all vibes are fantastic, I had a gentleman harass me and even the owner stepped in to sort it out, I have not been offered drugs by anyone which makes me feel like it is a clean place where high standards mean everything. There is one waiter that even has my drink poured and ready when he sees me entering by the doors so by the time I get too the bar it's done and they all are always smiling and laughing. I've even left my backpack behind the bar to dance and had lots of money, 2 phones , chargers and more in there and not a single thing went missing. They have kind staff, fantastic security and an overall vibe of safety and fun.... They even allow me to come in with headphones on since I don't like people touching my ears, and like listening to heavy metal. It is such an overall cool vibe, the only thing that I could possibly fault them on is that sometimes when you come in to get your drink the bar surface is sticky and wet but they are super busy and have little time in between orders to expect bar staff to wipe it so you cannot even actually complain about that. if you happen to touch it they will even give you sanitary whipes to wipe your hands, phone etc..... What an amazing place in my opinion. I love the excellent staff, especially since I started in the service industry as a waitress during high school to pay for my studies etc, and have worked since I was 12 years old part time, I'm nearly 32 and own my own company now ,I have extremely high standards in all aspects of business because I know how much effort I put into excellence and customer satisfaction so believe me when I say, their staff and bouncers vibe is the only reason I keep going there for an end of the night drink that only gets served there and Billy's as I always play pool first (alone, and I don't like social situations because I'm agoraphobic actually) yet feel comfortable there and at ballbreakers only. No where else has these vibes,...
Read moreI will never go to this place again.First the bartenders all charge me 3 different prices for the same can of cooldrink then I figured it out and said what's going on and pushed the closed can of cooldrink back to the bartender and said no keep it I don't want to buy anything since u are scaming me and i proceed to walk away then later a bouncer grabs me on my jacket and starts aggressive tugging on me telling me I better pay for the drink then I said I never took the drink I pushed it back and never opened it then he said u did take it and he proceeded to get more aggressive like he had a personal problem with me like he was just using it as an excuse to act this way towards me then the bartender came and said I did take the drink then I said I did not u are lying then they forced me in a situation where I had to decide to pay for something a never took or it's going to turn into a fight which I could see the bouncer wanted he kept looking at me funny so basically I paid and left immediately because they basically stole from me because I never got the drink not too mention the previous cooldrinks where they made up their own prices to overcharge me and just in general people here are just rude in general this place won't see me ever again. One guy charged me R49 for a can of grapetiser u people have lost the plot come right also mind u the whole night I was peaceful keeping to myself I did nothing to draw this negative behavior towards me just a hard pass...
Read moreI’m absolutely appalled by what took place last night. Two of my friends, both young women, were punched in the face by a bouncer at Lockstock. One now has visible marks and bruises on her face; the other had her septum piercing ripped out. Their only ‘offense’ was using the bathroom just minutes after the bar had closed. When the bouncer entered and told them to leave, they explained they were uncomfortable with a man in the bathroom but would be done in a moment and then leave. He responded with aggression and violence, physically assaulting them. One left the bathroom with blood streaming down her face onto her clothes, and yet none of the staff showed an ounce of concern. When their parents arrived and asked to see security footage, the manager refused, claiming they could only release it to an ‘investigative officer.’ The complete lack of empathy, accountability, and basic human decency shown by Lockstock staff was staggering. This was once one of the few places I felt safe as a woman — now I will never go back. Lockstock proved one thing last night: women’s safety isn’t just ignored here — it doesn’t exist. Be...
