RocoMamas Fourways — Restaurant in Gauteng

After hearing quite a bit about Rocomamas I decided to try it out myself. The place exceeded my expectations. Had one of the best burgers I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying and the chips were equally excellent, with large portions even when ordering a small.

The restaurant is on the small side but there is enough seating both inside and out. Service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere really drew me in. Music was a bit loud, which made proper conversation difficult. Music selection was brilliant though and I often caught myself listening to it more than the people at the table.

You definitely get value for your hard earned Rands at this establishment. If a burger is what you fancy, then there are few other places you can get a better one than here.

Looking forward to trying the Gotham burger again which was once one of the promotional burgers. Chocolate and chilli. Deadly combination.

Update: Still an excellent place to enjoy some good food at. We tried a breakfast which was served in a pan. Breakfast is basically the same everywhere. Toast, eggs, bacon. How the establishment prepares it is what differs. It was delicious by the way. Waiter that served us gave us a bit of an attitude when we asked for something she forgot, but...

Roccomamas Fourways. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Disgusting service 🤮 I have never been more appalled. I called in 30 minutes in advance to ask if they still running a promotion, I was advised that they were still running the promotion and that I can come through this evening. When I got there, the place was dirty; chicken bones lying on the floor and the empty tables were filthy with sauce and chicken bones. I stood at the front waiting for a waiter to approach me for approximately 10 mins. About 4 waiters walked past me and didn’t seat me or even do so much as greet. When I was eventually seated, the waiter didn’t bother to take my order instead, the waiter just walked away. One waiter came to take my order, but never placed my order. Another waiter came 10 minutes later and took the order again. Waited for about 45 minutes only for another lady to walk up to the table and tell me that the ingredients for the promotion is finished. Keep in mind, 3 other groups of tables ordered the promotion as well and were given preference. I was the only mixed race girl in there and they decided to ONLY come to me and tell me it wasn’t available but didn’t tell the rest of the customers who sat down. Disgusting service. Went during the week to RocoMamas Fourways with a large group of friends. The waitresses were immediately accommodating and helped us to add another 2 tables so we could sit all together. Ordering food is quite entertaining and fun because you have to fill out on the menu-notebook what you want to eat. Most of us don't want to admit age and forgot the reading glasses at home. It was great fun trying to guess the small printed words and jokes were made which were extremely funny. The waitresses were sharp, helpful, very friendly and the whole evening I experienced a pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious and tasty. Great value for money. A tip for restaurants, keep spare reading glasses for your customers to use or handout small magnifying glasses. This will add to the fun of understanding of people struggling to read the menu.
