Yamada Sushi in Melrose Arch is a culinary gem known for its exceptional sushi and welcoming atmosphere. For my girlfriend and me, it's more than just a restaurant; it's our go-to spot for celebrating special moments in our lives. The sushi here is a cut above the rest, made with fresh ingredients and skillful craftsmanship. Despite its high quality, the prices are reasonable, making it accessible for regular visits. One of the standout features of Yamada Sushi is its attentive and friendly staff. From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The waiters go above and beyond to ensure that every guest's needs are met, checking in regularly to ensure everything is perfect. Additionally, engaging in conversations with the chefs adds a personal touch to the dining experience, giving you insight into the artistry behind each dish. Hygiene is paramount at Yamada Sushi, and it shows in every aspect of the restaurant. The chefs always wear masks and gloves while preparing food, instilling confidence in the cleanliness of the kitchen. Watching your meal being freshly made before your eyes adds to the dining experience, highlighting the restaurant's commitment to quality and transparency. Overall, Yamada Sushi is a must-visit for sushi lovers looking for delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Went there last night to celebrate our daughter's 20th birthday, because she LOVES Sushi. There are a variety of ways in which you can enjoy your sushi there. Order from the menu, use the conveyor belt system or go for an all-you-can eat buffet. My hubby and l were a little more "boring" in our choices (although we do love sushi). My hubby went for the sweet and sour prawns with rice, and thoroughly enjoyed that. I had the chicken fried rice. Both my hubby and I ate a very generous portion - and both meals were great. Our daughter ordered salmon maki rolls and salmon california rolls - and loved them! She eats like a bird, so these 8 pieces served her very well. She then went on to have the fried ice-cream, and loved that too. I opted for a bow tie and enjoyed it. The place is busy, but not rushed. There seem to be a regular clientele who pop in, grab some of the plates on the conveyor belt, and kind of leave it at that. The decor is tasteful and pleasant. Our waitress was a lovely young lady, full of smiles and cheer, without being too intrusive. All in all, a lovely evening!

The food is great but the fact that they don’t have salmon roses and sashimi on the buffet was quite disappointing for me. I’ve been to many sushi restaurants and the least they do is give you a limited portion. But I just hated the fact that they even trapped me by putting the excluded black plates on the belt so you eat and they charge you. Never had such an experience in my life. If you ever go there, just be careful of those tricky black plates they intentionally put on the belt.

While the sushi at Yamada in Blu Bird was enjoyable, and the all-you-can-eat special offers good value, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. While I am not one to leave a bad review, my experience there tonight warrants it. Upon arrival, the waitress displayed a completely unprofessional attitude, sighing and pulling faces when we requested a table for 12 on a relatively quiet weeknight. Additionally, the restaurant didn't have clean glasses for our drinks.

The menu provided minimal descriptions of the sushi options, making it challenging for guests with allergies to make informed choices. When we asked the waitress to clarify, she was not knowledgable and appeared impatient.

To add to the frustration, the bill and a take-away box, took an unreasonably long time to arrive, requiring multiple follow-ups. We were charged for an additional item that was never brought to us, and the waitress stood impatiently as we all needed to pay. To top it off, the waitress concluded the experience by requesting a higher tip despite the poor service. Unfortunately, this experience ensures I won’t...

I came to Yamada in Blubird for lunch, unfortunately the service at Yamada is terrible and unfortunately every step of the way of was painful. At 16:00 my friends and I were seated by the waitress who was nice and we were the only people in the entire restaurant which was great as we thought that we would be in and out. At 16:30 our sushi still had not arrived and we asked the waitress to please find out what’ happening and her response was “it’s coming the chefs are busy with it” this response firstly is ridiculous as we knows it’s coming no apology from the waiter about to delay or anything. 15 minutes later (16:45) food still not here and I approached the manager to please ask him what is going on and he gives a dead average response saying it’s still coming No apology or anything in sort to make us feel better about waiting 45 minutes. Eventually the sushi gets here but after such a long wait it’s very frustrating.

I don’t know what happened to Yamada it used to be great but unfortunately the current management is shocking and need to go for training.

WILL NOT...
