Mozambik Knysna — Restaurant in George

As I have said with my stars, it was 5 stars all around!

Thank you to the lovely Tasneem for excellent and crazy speedy service- she was super attentive and on her game this evening!

The vibe is colorful and cheerful and beachy and just what Knysna has been missing!

As a veggie I had the halloumi curry with coconut rice, pap and sauce, coco-loco eggplant pops (OMG amazing) and obviously left with some takeaways 😂 everything was crazy flavorful and perfectly spicy!

My partner had the squid heads, calamari and chicken livers and a few bites of mine, he says it was all amazing too!

Then for dessert we had the passionfruit cheesecake and double decker that were perfectly light for after dinner sweetness and the passionfruit and mango daiquiris were delicious and then some.

We recommend it all and will be back for the rest of the...

Those chickpeas...come on guys, so disappointing - undercooked canned peas which ruined the meal completely. Waited and waited for our haloumi starter which was eventually brought at the same time as the mains...got cold as we had to eat everything at once, cold haloumi is like eating rubber. We ordered the coconut rice with our meal....the manager arrives with the waitress and the mains and the starter, and decides that that is the best time to let us know that they ran out of rice and that they had chosen chips for us instead ...first and last time...

Mozambic Knysna is the best thing that happened to this holiday town in years. The food, like Mozambic Sunninghill is fresh, tasty and delicious. Pricing is good. Service is by far the fastest, friendliest and most accommodating in Knysna. The moment your order is taken the waiter writes down the time of your order and within 15 minutes food is served.
