Hubby and I decided to give The Bachao Story a try as we were feeling for the Pani Puri option. We were informed that they were out of stock.

No Problem… let’s try the LOADED OLD DELHI STYLE MASALA CHIPS & KERALA CHICKEN- Total R125

Order is ready… I watched my hubby walking & laughing with the tray which I thought was only his meal… I thought wrong! (Image attached)

We stared at the tray trying to wonder that the so called loaded chips was no where close to how the menu described it. Dipped into the sauces and Wow- a general taste of Tomato Sauce & Spicy Mayo 🤔🫣 Potatoes were frozen wedges (not fresh potatoe) and nothing fascinating about the spice used to flavour the wedges.

We ate our order… nothing spectacular about the Kerala Chick wrap (something you can stir fry at home in a roti) and gave Bachao benefit of doubt …however how much more can we make excuses for businesses? This giving me the “rip off” experience.

We went to the stall and asked the cashier about the order…I asked her about the sauces and told her that what we were given was nothing close to what is described on the menu. She informs me “yes ma’am sorry but we are out of stock on the coriander chutney and date and tamarind chutney.”

So why were we not told of this when we made the order? Besides the poor presentation of the meal… we were not given the proper meal. 🤷🏽‍♀️

So where too from here? My purpose is to make the owners aware that you have a serious problem! As a customer, I left dissatisfied with your service and product. As a business owner, irrespective of what you are delivering, if you do not strive to deliver a superb experience, (that’s from the attitude of your staff to the quality of your product)… then you are very short sighted. Good...

Hi Guys We have been to Legacy Yard a couple of good times over the past year, great atmosphere, great vibes, good food and the best views of the ocean from the bar area. This place is a vibe indeed.

However the last 3 occasions when we visited, we were very disappointed. We always order our meals from Pontos and because we used to go so often the staff at Pontos know our order before we can actually order which is so great but the last 3 times we visited and went to order our meals from Pontos, we were told that we cannot have our usual which is the (full chicken, rolls, chips and the prawns platter), because they have no chicken, on one occasion we were told the chicken still has to defrost and on our third occasion we were told that they were not making anymore chicken. We then proceeded to order something else and sat down at our table awaiting for our food and a couple walks in places their order and sits next to us at another table, anyways we didn't mean to be rude but when their order came and we just glanced pass their table, they were having "chicken" and a reminder that they did come in after we did and placed their order after we did. This was really disappointing for my family and myself as we used to crave their food.

I don't think we will be visiting anymore as we think the ladies at Pontos just don't like to serve us and they always make excuses when we want to...

This place is not a unique idea but seems to have successfully implemented it. The location is key. There is lots of parking but be warned it is a bit more pricey. The parking lot is a bit confusing at first with a one way system. You can tap your card at the exit or use the pay-station on the ground floor (seems to only be one). The structure architecture and decor is very modern coming together to uplift the experience. The level its self is very wholesome with a grass area for kids to play, fountains and a view. The establishment itself has a rustic out door feel and a fantastic views. The food depending with outlet you get it from can be so many flavours. The ice cream was wow form Gelato. The steak and burgers were really good flavours. Indian street had a nice mozzarella ball and bold Indian flavours in other food. The chicken place had great sweet potatoe chips, dont waste your time on the Tzatzki flavour. It is good for a family who wants different things or if you want to try lots of different things. Only a hand full of places are halal but enough to make it worth while. Like that each table has napkins. A wash basin would be a good inclusion. Overall great time out.
