Solid 5 star food for sure. The uni is absolutely amazing. You wouldn't expect it, but this place is actually famous. It has been featured on several TV shows in Korea (and even abroad I think) and it's definitely because of the high quality. It's something I can't stop thinking about even months after visiting! Definitely give it a try if you are in Jeju City.

제주도 #해남 의 식당 이곳은 적당히 세월의 흔적을 가진 노포이다. 과다한 친절함, 먼지 한 톨 없는 깔끔함, 선물처럼 쏟아지는 서비스를 원한다면 다른 메뉴를 찾는 것이 좋다. 처음은 정말 우연하게 방문하였고... 다소 낮선 '소주방' 이름을 보고 들어가서는 적당한 술과 신선한 해산물을 맛보았었다. 그렇게 제주를 들릴때 마다 찾게된 인연인데... 어느날 TV 에 출연한 이후로 어마어마한 사람이 몰린다. (#오세득 쉐프의 단골로 알고 있고 실제 몇번 보기도 했다.) 그래서 살짝 아쉽긴 하다. 매번 가서 빠짐없이 먹었던 것이 #보말죽 이다. 개인적으로 최고라고 여겼던 전복죽의 아성을 위협하는 맛이라고 생각한다. 특히 보말죽과 함께 먹어야할 것이 있는데 바로 #성게알 이다. 김을 놓고 성게알을 올리고 소금장과 와사비장을 곁들이면 정말 일품이다. 무엇보다도 보말죽위에 성게알을 살짝 올리고 먹었을 때가 정말 신세계이다. —— 매년 제주도 학회가 있어 일년에 한번은 무조건 방문한다. 사람은 점차 많아지고 아쉽게도 재료 소진으로 못 먹을때도 있지만 그럼에도 맛나다. 가성비를 따지는 메뉴는 확실히 아니라고 생각한다. 다소 아쉬운 것은 관광객이 많아서 매장이 상당히 어수선하다는 점이다.

I love raw urchin but it is very difficult to find good quality in the US. When you do find decent urchin it is always frozen and very expensive.
