An old-school Korean-Styled Chinese restaurant with Nostalgic feel, and they serve my favourite Jaengban-Jjajangmyeon. Indicated as Noodles with Stir-Fry Black Soy Bean Sauce on their menu

Unique in a way, as Jjajangmyeon are usually served with Noodles topped with Black Bean Sauce and needs to be self-mixed, at other restaurants. Their version is a notch up, as Noodles are stir-fried with the Black Soy Bean Sauce and ingredients (Minced Meat, Scallions, Ginger, Garlic, Onion) together in a wok, and served on a plate instead of a bowl.

The result, overall texture of the noodles were chewy, embedded with the strong flavours of the sauce and noticable Wok-Hei, yet not overwhelming to the other ingredients of the dish. Its a well balanced Must Try dish!

My 2nd flavourite dish in this restaurant is their Tangsuyuk (Sweet & Sour Pork). Double Fried Pork strips were crunchy on the outside and tender inside, with thick sweet sauce made of Pineapple, Soy Sauce,...

Does not taste like the typical jjajangmyeon, which was super disappointing as my last meal of the trip. The taste was on the blander side, and the jjajang sauce watered very quickly. The noodles were more «Q», which was the only plus point. The meat of the tangsuyok was also bland, but the sauce tasted on the stronger side of pineapple. The jjajangmyeon cost KRW6,000 (looked small but actually quite a lot) and the small portion of tangusyok cost KRW17,000. Too pricey for the atypical taste. I would look for other places for my fix of jjajangmyeon...

We dined at this restaurant twice during our holiday in Seoul, and it quickly became a family favorite. The Sweet & Sour Pork is an absolute must-try—crispy, flavorful, and loved by all of us, including my wife and two children. On our first visit, the dish came generously coated in sauce, which my child found a bit overwhelming. So on our second visit, we requested the pork and the sauce to be served separately, and that made it perfect for everyone. A delicious dish and attentive service made us return—highly...
